  1. I use Wood Tech stands. www.wood-tech.com they work nicely

and dont hurt your pocket too too much. I have the 21'

oak stands for my SB-3s came with iso pads for the speaker

and spikes for the floor pluse there a nice oak.

  3. Wierd they must be down it worked yest but doesnt now.

Its kinda like gamespy tunnell just another alternative.

In the review they mainly were checking out its DVD Playback

and said that it blew the PS2s DVD away and was on par

with entry level home dvd players if not a tad better.

Just food for thought. Ive been playing Gauntlet Dark Legacy

for X-Box for a few weeks now its so much fun. Just got Hunter The Reckoning pretty sick game kinda like

gauntlet. But I still like gauntlet better the graphics

    for both games are amazing.

Heres a link to the game if anyone cares to check it out

    Def fun http://www.xbox.com/hunterthereckoning/default.htm

  4. I havent tried the controller S but I would love too

soon. As for 5.1 every game I have played so far has

been in 5.1 and has lit up my recievers multi channel

decoding light. Not one in PS2 has yet to do this. I

read in hmm what magazine was it. I think home theatre

mag or one of the home theatre mags that x-box is like

a human brain only using 2% of its power so far. And once

it gets some good programmers its really gonnna shine

over the rest. How tru this is who knows but Im happy

with my X-Box. Heres another alternative for X-Box gaming

online as of now to gamespys tunnel.

  5. Heres what I put together speaker wise and it sounds

    great esp for the money.

    SB3's w/ 21 inch oak stands $325 + $75 for stands

    SC-1 Center - $199

    Quintets Rear - $92

    KSW12 Sub - $299

All these were bought brand new off the web. They sound

good for 2 channel and awesome for HT Alot came from

ubid and ebay and some other online sellers and I also

talked to Klipsch verified all my Serial #s and got my

warranty activated on all of them as they checked out

    legit.

  6. I havent heard that sony personaly and I know the ES

line is way better than the regular line. But for the

money I would definatley go with a Harman Kardon AVR520

or a Denon AVR-3802 over the sony.

    I switched from a Sony STR-DE975 to a HK AVR-510 and

the diffrence in power and quality was night and day.

Yet my sony was rated 110wX5 vs the HK's 75wX5

The HK is only 2 inches deeper in size all the other

dimensions are the same but the build quality is much

better in the HK it ways 37lbs vs the Sonys 21lbs LOL

  7. Most likley I would think they have clips on the end

of them that clip into the speaker. When you remove

the screws and pull the woofer you should be able to

unclip them from the woofer. I havent done this but

this is how i assume they are.

  8. I just bought an X-Box about 3 months ago. I like the

graphics over PS2's with Gamecubes coming in a close

2nd place. Gamecube is a good setup. But it doesnt play

DVD's not like that was a selling point for the X-Box

for me I have a dvd player for that. I just wanted to

go with a procuct I knew had a lot to offer and alot

of options. With X-box you get a good dvd player. Every

game is in 5.1 and it can do 16:9 1080i graphics it has

the highest specs so far. Built in hard drive for saving,

ethernet card plus its microsoft so its most likely gonna

do good. Not that Nintendo doesnt know the field. Another

thing that kept me away from Nintendo is they like to

censor there games or make a less violent version or so

where PS, X, and all the other systems usually will deliver

you a raw game without thinking twice.. I think for the

younger generation game cube is a good choice exp with

the new Mario games coming out that I have enjoyed my

    whole life.

X-Box I feel is geared towards a more mature older audience.

To each his own I just opted for X-box.

  9. This questions is for John Albright :

You wrote :Your biggest problem will be the quality of the amp. Klipsch speakers are ruthless in showing the flaws in electronics.

Ive heard this countless times. So in your opinion do

you think my Klipschs ( not the best ones ) will sound

much different on my new HK AVR-510 reciever as opposed

to how they sounded on my entry level sony STR-DE975 reciever.

Im in the process of moving and havent been able to setup

my HT yet. Im hoping that they sound alot better with

the new found power and much better amp.

I hear HK amps are one of the best for a reciever setup

and I know my sony didnt measure up to much.

even a plugin for winamp or somethign that will let you

output the pure data stream on its own. I just have yet

to find it.. Def not worth $150 for that DAL-150 or however

much it is. Thats just my honest opinion.

Its $150 for that piece and my sound card already

has a coaxial digital out and all that does from what

  13. I have both digital coax on my sound card and on my receiver.

If i plug in the digital coax from one to the other. I will

hear my MP3's no problem but just as regular as I do with

any reciever I want to just have it send the info over

and let the reciever do the conversion like its suppose to

do I just dont know how to get it to do it. I just want

winamp or whatever player to just send the data bitstream

across the wire and not actual audio and let the recievers

MP3 Codecs or whatever play it. It suppose to be able

to do that but i dont know how I havent got the MP3 Light

    to come on yet.

  15. Im reading up on this MP3 feature and trying to figure

out how to use it. My sound card has Coaxil Digital out

Now I have used this with my old sony reciever and it

would play PCM and winamp would do the decoding. What

I want to do is figure out how to just send the information

over the digital coaxil cable and let the HK do the

processing and take the strain off my computer not that

it strains it much. I just want to utilize the features

in my new reciever. Anybody know how to do this or

what programs or plugins I need? Thanks for all your

  16. Just got off Parts Express. I found a few clips in

my price range.. Now heres another question. For hooking

up to my reciever I saw these double clips part # 090-467

    http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&User_ID=6379610&St=6142&St2=44105147&St3=93417230&DS_ID=3&Product_ID=2335&DID=7

Will that line up on the back of my HK reciever and reach

both holes and if so is there a benifit to using a combo

connector like this. I think these would work good on

the reciever end of the wiring. And then use Part #

    # 091-1165 to goto my 2 rear wall plates.

    http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&User_ID=6379610&St=6142&St2=44105147&St3=93417230&DS_ID=3&Product_ID=2446&DID=7

I have 2 plates on the wall that are for my rear channels.

From there the wire goes through the walls to the rear

of the room. I have a 2 speaker plate behind the reciever

and then 2 single plates on the right and left of the

    rear walls.

    Thanks for the help

get Banana Connectors for all my wires coming into

it. If anyone could recomend a decent one that will

work with this unit at a decent price Could you point

me in the right direction. I would need 5 pairs for

coming into the reciever and 4 pairs going to my wall

plates which run through the walls to my rears. So thats

9 Pairs or so thats why im trying to keep the price down

I dont need any audiophile quality but I would like
