  1. Harmony's are easy to set up,always seem to work, and have codes for almost everything that uses a remote(ceiling fan's,heater's etc.). I have 2 and I have really liked them. I don't have any experience with others so take my experience for what it's worth.

I also want to mention that Coytee is a really nice guy in person as well.

    Roger

He seems great as do the majority of forum members.I'm really only saying that (about Coytee) because I want to get invited to that outdoor theater.Really though the willingness of the members especially the people in the "Pro" section to help out others is really remarkable. Hopefully some day I will have enough knowledge to pass on to others

  3. Yes, I had 5 Double MWM bins, along with 4 single MWM bins, two MSM cabinets, 4 MSSM cabinets, and 1 MMTM pack. I sold them all to Helio except one double MWM bin I am giving to Kevin Harmon who I met through the forum here. I also sold Helio two TSCM bass cabinets and I couldn't have moved that stuff without Michaels help!!

As a side note, I just sent payment for a second KPT-684 Michael!!!

    Roger

So you guys have a little idea of what i'm in for[:$] That is an ungodly amount of gear!

I wish you wouldn't bring up KPT-684's , I haven't even finalized this deal and I'm already thinking I need 1 or 2 of those.

  4. Looking for a nice AVR - any suggestions that would work good for my setup ? Trying not to go to an amp/preamp setup, but will if I have to.

Congratulations You are gonna love those.I have a set and love them. FWIW I run mine with an old Denon AVR 3805 and it runs them very well.

I have thought about hooking them up to my Sepperates (Classe SSP300 and an Emotiva XPA5) but really haven't felt a need to since they sound great and moving the Belles or getting the gear out of the rack would be a major PITA .

I just threw out the Denon to give you an idea of what could run them and believe me I like it loud sometimes. You will give up before the Belles or a receiver in that range will! Will the sepperates sound better? Probably! (I spent a lot on them) Are they worth it? Maybe? But a good receiver with a pair of Belles will not disappoint!

Keep in mind when budgeting for a receiver you might want to budget for a center channel .I might be wrong but I believe those Belles are going to overtake your current one .

    Good Luck

  5. Thanks Richard.

Like I told you I might end up with a couple extra MWM's. I think you need to get those 402's for sale and I can bring those extra MWM's and there's your front stage [;)]

  6. Michael

Thanks for the tips on what to bring to check the speakers and the Flexaril. I was just reading your thread about you going through your second set of MCM'S

lots of good info in there.

    Is Heli001 now Panacea Engineering?

  7. I do love that design, simple but very effective, ever see the inside ?

I may have but never paid close attention (watched one build thread), These were always something I marveled at and fantasized about but never thought would really happen. You are right it really is a thing of beauty! As far as the heavy lifting I have already been warning some of my younger friends and my son and some of his friends(mid twenties) since my mind believes I can still do anything but my body just hasn't been in agreement lately! I know these doubles are going to be a bear ,I'm getting sore just thinking about it.

    [:$]

  8. Good luck with the deal, and have plenty help moving everything, you will need it

Thanks dtel . Pictures and even looking at the dimensions don't prepare you for standing in front of a set for the first time. They are HUGE !

  9. Michael thanks for chiming in. I have followed your advice several times even though it wasn't directed at me. I like many others hold your opinoins in high regard. You are right on,they did come out of an old theater. They are in decent shape cosmetically but they don't have the trim which I 'm not sure they ever did. They look decent enough I think? I must confess when I went to see them, he did not know what he had and a mutual friend called me over to take a look .I was so stunned to see the MCM's that it was like seeing a woman naked for the first time. I couldn't tell you the color of her eyes and I can't say for sure these were in great shape but I don't remember anything being too terribly wrong. I'm sure he will let me test them.Thank You for your input and info you provided .Gary

  10. Holly Crap! That is some Yard! Don't rule that suggestion out, I do have a truck and trailer to pull that off.The only thing stopping me from saying it will happen is having to move the MWM's

  11. I actually met up with him this summer to look at his KP600's .I was leaning that way due to size and price. I did see the MCM's and they were prettier than these,he really had quite a collection.I didn't get listen to the MCM's because they weren't set up and they were more than I could swing at the time.He actually sold the 600's before I could make that happen. I do believe the size and weight are a major obstacle for the MCM's resale as the market is small. I don't see myself letting these go if I get them but there were a lot of things I didn't see coming so who knows! Still having 3 Fronts ready to go just seems like too much fun!

    Thanks for your help.

  12. Coytee

    Thank you for replying

    They are the Double bins

You are one of the members I had hoped would reply!

I agree that would be incredible to have 5 stacks !

I have been lurking for years and only recently joined. As a matter of fact I had just been watching your thread about placing your MWM bins .I will have similar problems if I get these. I will have to remove door trim to get these inside as the one doorway is just shy of 32.5" and the room will be full for sure but I will not be here permanently and you guys have me wanting to try the pro stuff badly! I have not even heard these but I can only imagine from what some of you have said these will make my Belle's sound Small .

  13. I am looking for pricing help on an MCM 1900 system . It consists of 3 MWM's , 3 MSSM's , 3 MSM's , 3 MMTM's and the 3 crossovers. Basically 3 Full Stacks. These do not have any edge trim and they are a little rough but nothing terrible. They are not for sale by a forum member or are they even listed for sale. They are through a friend of a friend who got them from an old theater. He doesn,t have alot into them so out of respect to any forum members I would appreciate a pm or Email regarding their value as I believe the circumstances are unusual. Having said that I am somewhat obsessed with getting them and Fear I might overpay since I don't really know their true value.I know their are many on here who have experience with these and a better understanding of what they are worth. Any advice would be greatly appreciated .

  14. I have the THX Ultra2 setup which I bought thinking I would use for movies only and they have been fantastic. But it seems many dismiss them for any music which I cannot understand as they do a very nice job. The subs I believe are extremely capable in my opinion and they lend themselves to music even more than the rest of the system.I also have read where a couple of highly regarded members on here have very favorable opinions of the subs and have used them with Heritage systems as well. I think if you are above 65% for movies these are a great option especially considering their flexibility and ease of setup. I personally prefer my Belles for music but I do find myself listening to the THX system some times for a change of pace and if I didn't have my Belles I would be extremely satisfied with the music from this system. Having said all that I have not heard the RF-7II's so I have no comparison but thought I would give you some real life feedback on the THX system.
