  1. http://stlouis.craigslist.org/ele/5515185698.html No affiliation although I did text him and ask if everything was still available so far it is
  2. Thank you for the responses gentleman. I thought I wanted them to come from the ceiling because I could put them a little further out into the room but on the back wall is fine, back surrounds need to be preferably 5 to 7 feet from the back row correct?
  3. I have found a few viable options that say they will hold them, just curious if someone has some that they know work for sure.
  4. I definitely will need them to tilt quite a bit I should've said that to begin with. Thanx
  5. Dont know why the smiley face popped up, was supposed to just say 60.0 WB-B
  6. Now that omnimount no longer makes the typically suggested mounts for these speakers(60.0 WB- does anyone have any suggestions that they have used or still use? I will take ceiling or wall mount suggestions, actually I'll gladly take WHATEVER suggestions anyone would offer. Thanks for your time!
  7. I personally I'm not interested in them only because I don't have a place to put them, I just sent him an email so I could possibly the first one to lay claim on them and then let someone from the forum take them. Jim and St. Louis was the first one to respond so in the unlikely chance that they do email me and say the other person backed out. I already promised my place in line to him. My place in line to him. They may very well be in use at someone else's house right now, for your sake Jim I hope that's not true.
  8. Looks like I'm third in line and I answered an hour and a half after he posted. Hopefully somebody on the forum.
  9. That was my first instinct too, LOL!
  10. I emailed him as soon as I seen it so if by chance I get first Dibbs I'm willing to fork my position over to someone interested. No response as of yet but I just seen them 20 minutes ago.

  12. I emailed him 2 hours after he posted and he sent back an email saying they were still available. I immediately sent back an email telling him i would take them and he never responded. Someone must have offered more money.
  13. Ive worked with him for 7 years, hes yet to come out. Hes better off, then he would be hooked!
  14. Cool beans, that should be perfect. Thanks
  15. I'm glad you're being blunt because I'm going to show him this so he knows it's not just me telling him to rethink it, I pictured the speakers at least being aimed toward the seating positions but they're just firing straight down .
  16. I think you're probably right Scrappy. I showed him how to hook things up to his Onkyo he bought and it sounded terrible I didn't have the heart to tell him because he wants to try and make it work. I wish you would just scrap the idea, no pun intended Scrappy :-)
  17. My friend recently bought a house with in ceiling speakers in the living room . The previous owner when they did the walk-through told him they were top-of-the-line speakers and he was using a separate center with them. Here are the specs : 5W - 125W 6.5-Inch Injection-Molded Graphite Woofer With Rubber Surround 1-Inch Aluminum Dome Pivoting Tweeter Imp: 8 Ohm Freq Resp: 32 Hz - 22 Khz Technical Details Brand Name: Proficient Model Number: C640 Manufacturer Warranty Description: TEN YEARS Product Details Manufacturer: PROFICIENT Manufacturer reference: C640 Product Dimensions: 12.2 x 11.5 x 10.8 inches Shipping Weight: 11.8 pounds ASIN: B000P0ZW44 He asked me to help him find a center to match it, I suggested he ditch those speakers all together but that is not an option for now. Any suggestions for a center? He does not want to put another hole in the ceiling for a center either.
  18. In one of their hundred thousand dollar plus rooms, they have chairs that move with the movie, if a car turns to the left your chair slightly turns to the left. I think it was called D box I had never heard or seen that before, may be old news to most of you guys.
  19. Sounds like, The Sound Room. First place I ever seen my RF-7ii's in person. They tried to push me toward B&W instead, but they really have some knowledgeable people there. Gary is one of them if you have any questions about the unit.
  20. Thanks for suggestions everyone, i hit the INFO button and now it is reading Dolby TrueHD. Dont remember doing that before, but fine by me. Easy fix, even though I was tempted by Scrappys suggestion to get a new AVR, I would MUCH rather spend my money on bigger subs.
  21. I'll go check my HDMI's and my connections making sure everything is plugged in properly . If that doesn't work I'll mess with it in the morning too late now. Thank you gentlemen for your help.
  22. I don't think I actually answered your question Michael, yes I do want to see it on the front of the receiver it may make no difference whatsoever and be a total marketing gimmick but it makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside when I see it :-)
  23. If it is TRULY being decoded properly even though it says straight I don't have a problem with it I'm just worried it is not being decoded properly and I am missing out on some of the audio aspects , why would it all the sudden stop saying it on the front of the AVR. I was reading on some forums that I should just set it to Linear PCM Because I will not get Dolby true HD anyway, but I think they were talking about the bigger style not the PS3 slim
