  1. SOLD!!!!!

Newer black Klipschorns that I purchased brand new from Klipsch in January of 2015.  They have moved a total of about six feet since they came out of their boxes.  No dings and no scratches!  They are mint!!!  I also have all of the original boxes and packaging.  Local pickup is preferred.  That way you can see how perfect they are and help pack them yourself so there is zero damage when you take them away.  Why am I selling? I'd like to try a set of Jubilees

    $4,900 OBO, Pocatello, Idaho

I have PayPal, but cash is more fun!!!

    Factory boxes:

    Two bass bin boxes @ 42"H x 27"W x 34"D

    Two mid/high boxes @ 15"H x 31"W x 36"D

Shipping weight with pallets is probably around 450 pounds (175 each speaker).

  2. I met one of the general contractors that travels the US building Chipotle Mexican grills. He is also the guy that installs the pair of Heresy's in the wall of the restaurant. I met him while he was installing them at our new restaurant that will be opening next month. Turns out they are the nice finished black Heresy's III's just mounted upside down behind the wall. They come with grills and the new badges on them right out of the box. Where do the grills and badges end up? Usually in the garbage after the install- no kidding! He said he will start keeping them if anyone is interested. He said he will sell grills and badges pretty cheap and he already has several pairs on hand. Here's his info:

  3. Mine or his? I am assuming you want the OP's info on his room. But just in case... I run heritage stuff which is why I didn't get the THX system. I've A B'ed them and prefer mine. My room is 19' by 48'. No rear corners, rectangle room.

  4. I have a set of AA crossovers that I just pulled from my newly purchased 1978 LaScalas. I've been listening to them for several weeks with these crossovers. I'm selling them because I just installed Bob Crites new AA crossovers. I considered rebuilding these, but just wanted new parts all around. As a result my original AA crossovers are for sale. How does $100 plus shipping sound?

  5. Kind of a cool story.... My grandmother's sister was married to Waylon Jennings for about five years. They had a daughter that I'm very close to - even today. When my mom was in High School she went to stay with Waylon and my Aunt Lynne for about a year in Arizona. Also... Waylon was a huge Klipsch fan along with fellow country music outlaw Kris Kristofferson. I tried to get my hands on his Klipschorns a few years back, but they had long disappeared. Since his death the Khorns are simply MIA. My cousin asked his current wife Jessie and she didn't know what had become of them. He also apparently had Heresy's and some MCM stuff back in the day.

Here's a little cool info about how Waylon fits into this post about the day rock and roll died...

"In 1958, Buddy Holly arranged Jennings's first recording session, of "Jole Blon" and "When Sin Stops (Love Begins)". Holly hired him to play bass. In Clear Lake, Iowa, Jennings gave up his seat on the ill-fated flight that crashed and killed Holly, J. P. Richardson, Ritchie Valens, and pilot Roger Peterson. The day of the flight was later known as The Day the Music Died. Jennings then worked as a D.J. in Coolidge, Arizona, and Phoenix."

Growing up I heard this story a few times from Waylon himself and from my mom. Right before they left for the plane Waylon joked with the Big Bopper about it. The Big Bopper said to Waylon jokingly that he hoped their bus would freeze. Waylon joked back and replied- I hope your plane crashes... As you can imagine It really bugged him the rest of his life. Crazy story!
