I am always looking,I will be in Greensboro next weekend, I plan on going to a couple of record stores when I am in town.I had a friend help me set up my Yamaha PF-800 with the Denon DL-103r and after I added oil to the arm everything is silky smooth .

My Dennis Had Inspire LP-3.1 came in today.It was an original LP-3a and I exchanged emails with Dennis and sent it in for an upgrade,complete upgrade inside and I even had him change the faceplate.I’m going to use it in bedroom system and for now I installed it in my main system and the little preamp is sounding great,.if it just had a remote control.

Nothing like listening to Eric Clapton on my vinyl setup on a cold winter night.I finally finished some maintenance on my Yamaha PF-800 turntable.I had to add silicon oil to the arm release and now the arm slowly drops on the record,I also installed my new Denon DL -103r cartridge.I had a friend from NC help me setup everything and he is not a Klipsch guy but after we got everything dialed in he was blown away by the sound.I almost sold this table before Christmas I am glad I decided to keep it,I love the way it looks and also how it sounds.Playing vinyl is a labor of love and when I am playing records it kinda takes me back to a time when I just enjoyed the music and I was not so critical about the sound.Some of my best memories was going into Dixie hi-fi looking at the monster receivers,reel to reels,cassette decks,speakers and turntables.

The Carver amp arrived today and right out of the box the amp sounds great, I have it hooked up to a Marantz SA-11S3 using the gain control on the amp for volume .I am shocked at how deep the bass is and no edge at all on the top end .

I am awaiting delivery of a Bob Carver VTA-20 Tube Power amp that I bought last night off audiogon,I am also waiting on my Dennis Had Inspire preamp.It was a Model LP-3a and I am having it upgraded to his latest model LP-3.1 .I talked to Dennis before Christmas and he was excited about how nice it turned out and I am looking forward to hear the 2 pieces with my Klipschorns.I will post pictures once I receive them and have them setup.

(1) Since SP records only have monaural modulation, combining an SP stylus with a stereo body would be recommended only when used with a dedicated archiving phono Preamplifier-equaliser. These incorporate various features to allow Mono reduction from Stereo inputs (Mono L+R, Mono L, Mono R, L&R Variable Mix). When an SP record is played with a standard Stereo Phono Preamplifier, it is recommended that a VM600 body is used for signal to noise ratio optimisation and to minimise record surface noise.
(2) For best results when playing vintage mono LPs, Audio-Technica recommends using the VMN510CB conical stylus. A line contact or elliptical type stylus can be considered if you are sure that the dimensional groove construction of the LP(s) can safely handle these stylus tip shapes.

We moved to Tennessee in 2009 and bought a home with the same replacement cost of our home in NC and the cost of insurance was 30% higher and car insurance was 50% higher due to living in a tourist area.I finally found a company that the rates was only 20% higher on home and 25% higher on car.Then we had the major fires in East Tennessee,we had no claims and our rates tripled.We had to up our deductible to 2500.00 and the rates only doubled.Don’t get me started on health insurance.

Yamaha PF-800 belt drive turntable in near mint cosmetic condition,great sounding table and solid built.It comes with the original record clamp that you can read the speed of the album and Shure m97xe cartridge.I love the sound of this table I have 2 different tables and plan on keeping one.I may be interested in a trade ,due to the floating platter I would be willing to meet or local pickup.Sevierville,Tn
