  1. When at home trying to enjoy music I listen to about 80% vinyl, 15% cd and 5% radio. In the car about 50% cd and 50% radio. At work about 80% radio and 20% cd. I really like going to swap shops and walking out with an arm full of lp for only a few dollars. I several duplicates, so that when I wear out one i'll have another to wear out. Alot of my friends cannot belive that I like old records and have the gaul to play them. Paul ------------------ Paul Ward my home theater www.brookesbakersurveyors.com/klipschht.htm
  2. Just a little too slow... by the time I look over there they had already been snatched maybe better luck next time. Paul ------------------ Paul Ward my home theater www.brookesbakersurveyors.com/klipschht.htm
  3. I'm trying to find a beatup pair of heresy's to use as surrounds. The physical size of the heresy is too large and I was thinking about using a scan-speak, vifa, seas or shiva in a much smaller enclosure. I know it can be done, just has anyone done it? Which mid-woofer would work best? It would not need to go below 80 hrz. ------------------ Paul Ward my home theater www.brookesbakersurveyors.com/klipschht.htm
  4. justin, I bought the Infocus LP 350 (DLP) about 4 months ago for 3999 from a local dealer. I also looked at the NEC 150 (lcd) but it displayed to many pixels. As you can see the recliner is only about 6 feet from the screen and about 4 feet from the Cornwall. If I had gone with the NEC the pixels would have been visible even from the couch (13 feet). With the Infocus you cannot see them. Also I liked the solid blacks of the Infocus. Sounddog, Thanks for the comments on the projector. The dogs name is Hershey. She loves steak!!! When I grill she knows that a treat will be waiting for her. She is not allowed in the kitchen when cooking or in the dining room when we eat. Its funny because she knows EXACTLEY where she can stand to "beg" from. I have always hated a pet that comes up to the table when you eat. So she just stays back until we are done. Maxg, I know that the stack is not a good idea but thats the way that it fell together. I would like to move the stuff to the front. the kitchen is right there and my wife said that i could rob a little cabinet space for it. THe problem that I have is that I use the VGA connectors on the HDTV tuner and will need to leave the tuner and dvd player in the back near the projector and run digital or coax to the front. My wife really hates the sub being in the room so I told her about the infinate baffle and said that would be great!! Man do I ever love this woman. Bigbusa, I agree that another set of heresy's would be idea for the rears. The quentets do OK for rear duty. I have the calibrated about 3 decebles lower than the rest of the speakers. They get a little tired at above reference levels. Do ya got any? Paul ------------------ Paul Ward my stuff www.brookesbakersurveyors.com/klipschht.htm
  5. Come on mobil, it was only 3:22 am on first post and edited at 5:14 am I was just starting to wake up at that time... I was also looking for some tubes. Thanks for the post! Paul
  6. I never sold my cornwalls on ebay so I to just keep them. I bought a pair of Heresy's for the center and some quentets for the rears until I can get another pair of heresy's. here's the link: www.brookesbakersurveyors.com/klipschht.htm Over the holidays I'm planning on modifying the drivers to be front mounted and change internal wiring and move the sub into an adjoing closet, make it an infinate baffle and add one more driver. Later I'll update my preamp to a Lexicon or McIntosh. As far as projection I'm very happy with it. A few nights ago I was watching Pearl Harbor ABOVE reference levels with no strain..... lets see another system other than Klipsch do that Later, Paul This message has been edited by P Ward on 12-16-2001 at 01:13 PM
  7. Hagood, I live in Haltom City and would not mind if droped by and listen to my Cornwalls and Heresy for my center. Drop me an email pwardftw@hotmail.com. Paul
  8. Jeremy, is that you? I decided to keep my cornwalls and buy a pair of heresy's to go with them. If your not Jeremy, have you thought about buying the drivers and cross over and have them shipped to you and have the cabinets built in Singapore? Just a thought. Paul
  9. Big Busa, I noticed that it is 39 degrees up in Albany, down here in Fort Worth its about 57 degrees with highs in the lower 60's... But just a short 3 months ago it was over 100 OK, I've lowered the price to 950 before I post them on Ebay.
  10. The house that we were going to buy had a large home theater room. The builder did not want to fix some things on the house so we busted out. The house that we did buy does not have a theater room and they are just to big for the room and WAF. I have my eye on a set of Heresy's or maybe some M&K S-150's. My daughter said that I could just give them to her for Christmas and she will make room for in her bedroom. I cant have that, I'll never get any sleep. As far as an "easy payment plan" goes... got anything to trade? Paul
  11. I have a pair of 1978 KLIPSCH cornwalls for sale. Please visit www.brookesbakersurveyors.com/klipschcw.htm for additional detail, photos and price. Sory for large pics, this is my second try at a web page and cannot seem to get the thumbnails to work. Thanks for looking, Paul
