Rockin Robin - Tweet Tweet 🐣

Yea I think a very young Michael Jackson also sang that song

But it was originally by Bobby Day 1957

Fun watching your posts in here.  You're learnin!   For me it's just therapy!   😂

You are on song again Dave

    Keep up the therapy

And yes I also believe it’s a money grab by Waters.

I respect the man for his achievements but I don’t have to like him 🤘

  3. Not mentioned often but these guys were on par with Neil Young and James Taylor

Anyone agree that the 70s were a golden time

It's always funny when someone wants to know why he's playing with the Eagles.  They were talkin about it when I was sittin w/my daughter in Phoenix before the show.  Didn't take me long to explain it.  Couple of 'em said they didn't know that'.  Sheesh...  As long as they enjoyed I guess.  lol

I wonder if they need a new band member

If so how about this little fella

  7. Today I spun a trio of

    Alice Cooper LPs

I went to the Sydney Welcome To My Nightmare concert back in 1977

And in between made a hybrid recipe damper bread and Greek rissoles to surprise the wife on her return from work

Now she thinks I’m a champion

    @Full Range HOARDER!  😂

That is true - wife says it a lot

When I worked at the steelworks over 45 years ago I still have items that I brought home just in case I needed them to fix something

And yes 80% of them have been used to fix or build something in those 45 years. So there 🤪

Ofcourse the new gear sounds nice... But I always slobbered over that Sansui! I guess it would be a waste of space and funds to put it into storage, no?

I may keep the Sansui AU717 / TU717 combo for a while, as someone may offer me crazy money 🤪 for them

But I also have the baby of the range a Sansui AU117 / TU217 combo as a spare

Hey Paul thanx for asking, the medical cocktail does it´s job , but I recognize that without the medication the pain gets stronger again. Ja Cyrus is a great branch and develope great audio gear , as Sansui did . Looking forward to see the coming changes

I will keep you all updated in the coming weeks

Just have a gut feeling that the Cyrus 8XP coupled to the seperate PSX-R will give the La Scala breathing space to work their magic

Had bad luck on Monday , have separated with a Stihl diamond cutter angle stones , which should support an embankment. At the second angle stone it has made "crack" in my back, the later occurring pain was unbearable, today I was in the nuclear spine tube with the result that my lumbar disc ( is it right ? )  has no damage, but I was admitted to the hospital for pain therapy. I am writing to you from my hospital bed 😏My left leg has a muscle trauma

The only word that came out of my mouth apart from expressing internal sympathy for your pain is

It starts with the capital F

    Get well soon mate

  12. This is a cover of Fleetwood Mac - Dreams

This young lady sounds close to identical in voice to the original. Even the intonation

I closed my eyes and listened but it was hard to fault

Hey @Full Range you haven't seen heels LF wandering around down under yet or is there something going on we don't know about?  Inquiring minds wanna know...  😂

Depends on where the LF is in this giant country

It’s so big one can loose someone in the back yard ( yea that was tongue in cheek )

But seriously it can happen 🤪

But, as with everything, there is a pinch of salt here... But first:

    -  Ofcourse the cabinets are rough and need love. That was expected.

    - One of the grilles has cloth- damage on one corner:

    PXL_20230708_123432862.thumb.jpg.81932836cff92b864d0878dc9c1d7fed.jpg

I´ll think what to do about that at the end, it´s not that noticable anyway.

The following is the biggest "problem". The woofers survived transport intact, BUT:

    PXL_20230708_115331347.thumb.jpg.0aac5566c219829f258a71659762783e.jpg

    Original K1005 K woofer.

    PXL_20230708_115324666.thumb.jpg.624cde32d95c6143625419f4dde334fe.jpg

Up to now, unknown replacement woofer...

If you put your ear close the woofers, there is a noricable difference in dynamics between the two. It doesn´t impair listening, but knowing it, I want back the original state.

But first things first. They will be added to my "Phallanx" and listened to extensively!

Oh, and then, one has all original feet, the other a mixture of one half of a original and three spikes.

Were you made aware of the issues?

If so I hope you got them for a good price

From memory they were in production from about 1995

    But stand to be corrected

Had a look at some reviews of the 4.5 floor stander because I haven’t heard any myself, and all are positive
