I have been trying to recollect this man’s name for a long time
I’m sure he is familiar to the older members in the USA
I remember listening to this album in the 70s at a friends home ( but I kinda liked his sister ) and always wanted to get the album but as time went by it was forgotten but surfaced in my mind every now and then
Now I present
Wes HarrisonProfile:Also known as "Mr. Sound Effects", Harrison was an American comedian and voice actor, notable for his ability to create realistic sound effects using only his voice and a Shure 530 Slendyne microphone. Wes Harrison makes all his sound effects without the help of tape recorders or other electronic devices. Harrison has a comic style reminiscent of Red Skelton, but uses noises instead of physical shtick.- 3

You need to listen to this album for what is portrayed as a maiden solo album by ex member of Genesis and not to compare
It is more art rock with Prog undertones
Artist - Tony Banks

I like Snarky Puppy
Not long ago I posted a video of a stand in drummer Larnell Lewis playing with them - it was amazing and now one of my favourite drummers
That looks like him playing in the above video

Both are great songs Paul.
Long time since I heard the second, and only knew Ann & Nancy's version of the first.
The title of the song ‘I got the fire’ - in the video you posted got me thinking about it and searched for a long forgotten song- 2

This album I am spinning now has some history behind its purchase in 1979
Its a reissue some 4 years after its initial release
The story is when I returned home from the record store to play it I found 2 records inside the cover
I rang the store to notify them of the extra record - was told not to worry and keep the second record, - they assumed the factory packed 2 in one and since they didn’t have a spare cover to insert it into the said to keep it as a spare
Its a record I have loved and played many times since, and I love the song Somber Reptiles

Since we are on the other discs thread
You may have read my post on the way records are becoming more expensive on a day to day basis
Having said that - CDs have taken a dive
So I decided to get a few CDs in NM grading, ranging in price from $5 to $10 AU from a local seller.
So when they arrive I will surprise you all with the titles 🤘🤘🤘

You see Dave , that´s a map from germany ,
the red dot right east side is Berlin , where @AndreG. lives ,
the red dot left west is where I live
Even if you search me by Latitude 51.4046 / Longitude 7.2583 , it gets quiet difficult for you to find me 😂, but you can ask some of my friends in which rabbithole I´m waiting for you 🤣
It’s all German to me
But it looks small to me living Down Under

If ya don't do it already be a bit more selective before you pull the trigger. Hit stuff on youtube and listen to the full album THEN buy it if you like it. Lil bit of time will save ya some money in the long run and you'll have an even better selection of what you enjoy and resonates with you down the road. I always bought just about everything that was good to find out later there was only one good song on the LP. Youtube starts and it's an entirely different ball game today.
Disclaimer: Sometimes 10 years down the road as time changes some of the songs that didn't resonate DO resonate. Kinda maybe.. 😂
That’s what I do

Did not know that. What is a bush dance? Seems like they are dancing fools down under.
Believe it or notQuote from wiki
The Nutbush particularly took off in Australia during the 1980s, and is usually performed in schools, social gatherings and community events. The dance has gained such popularity in Australia that it has been implemented in some Australian states' curricula. In 2019 and 2020, the dance saw widespread attention when it was the subject of various viral TikTok videos.

Most people know the song Nutbush City Limits, and spontaneously get up and dance when it comes on because it was created here

All over the news here since it was reported. She was one of a kind and loved by millions. Just crazy good and a sad day not only in the US but world-wide. She was soooo so good.
She was much loved here
We even invented the Nutbush dance based on the song way back when it first released
It’s been a thing since
