  1. Hey, the thought has crossed my mind as I have a pair connected to a Sansui 8080 and absolutely love them. You might have persuaded me, not that it took much right? ๐Ÿ‘
  2. Hi all! I am looking to make a move up the Klipsch chain and mate my restored Marantz 2235B with a pair of Quartets. Currently I am using KG 3.5s, and while they are ok, they are not Quartets or Fortes! I would love another set of Fortes, but the room isnโ€™t very big. Although if the right pair of Fortes came along.....๐Ÿ˜Š I am in zip 84120. Thank you!!
  3. Guys thank you very much for the info and ideas!! I think I agree, unless some 1.5s woofers fall in my lap dirt cheap, I'll just look to replace them. Parts express was a no go. KSL (I'm in Salt Lake City) has been a good source of equipment in the past so I'll just keep my eyes peeled after the holidays. Patience is the key right? As for the KG4s, yes I am waiting for the insurance claim to go through. I have pictures of the speakers in and coming out of the box damaged so I'm hopeful it'll not take to long. i need to visit this site more often!!
  4. I emailed them but I'm gun shy about long distance purchases now. Bought these 1.5s locally, guy swore up and down they weee great. I was in a hurry, didn't listen to them . Get home crossovers melted and woofers absolutely dead. Bought a pair of KG4s and shipped from Denver, 4 of the 8 corners crushed, base broken, and UPS packed it!! Only paid 40$ for them. Maybe it's not worth fixing them?
  5. Ok let me show my noobiness, same woofers?
  6. But I'm from Flint if that helps?
  7. Hi, Long time lurker finally decided to post. I am in need of 2 replacement woofers for my beloved KG 1.5s. I have tried to find non Klipsch options as well but have come up short. Heck I'd even consider buying another pair, in oak if possible. Thanks! Craigster

Hi, I am looking to buy the grill, in good condition, for a Klipsch RC-10 center speaker. Craig ccdowenye@yahoo.com thanks!
  9. Halo Burger? Oh yea!! Halo everybody Halo....maybe some Vernors to go with that?
  10. I am originally from Flint and it makes me so sad to see what has become of my home town. That said, the leaders in Flint, when it became obvious that GM was slowly leaving, did not act accordingly in terms of preparing for life after GM and all the money-taxes that it brought to the city of Flint. What is now left is a poor, crumbling shadow of what was a pretty decent place to grow up and live back in the 60s-70s and 80s. I left in 82 and only went back to visit family (who have all left) and friends. I really feel for my fellow Flintstones.

  12. Thanks for the warm welcome. I hear you guys, there are way better centers and I will keep my eyes open for one. I decided since I already have the Titanium tweeter, I will go ahead and install it and see how that works out and live with it for awhile. I am sure you both are right in that I won't ultimately be satisfied and will want to find a center to match my Heresys. I will post my thoughts on the upgrade as soon as I install it. Since I am have size and space limitations, what are your thoughts for a good center, with close to the the same dimensions? I have read good things about the KLF C5-7 and the Academy? Thank you!!
  13. I recently used Howards Feed n wax on my Fortes with great results. Rub it on, wait 20, then wipe off the excess. They look like brand new. Im just saying....
  14. Hi all! Long time Lurker, just made my first post today...this is number two! What a great site with tons of great info. So having said that...I recently purchased a KV2 center speaker, in mint condition for $50. It sounds good, but not great. For grins and giggles I contacted Mr Crites and purchased a Titanium Tweeter diaphragm, which I plan on putting in this week. He has a new crossover that I could purchase for this speaker as well. My question to you all is.....has anyone else modded their KV2? I realize there are many centers made by Klipsch that are considered much better. But since I have it, I thought I would go ahead and "hot rod" it. Has anyone else done this and if so what are your thoughts? All thoughts are appreciated. Thank you
  15. Thanks Dtel. I found this site some time ago but have spent most of my time on audioK. This is a great site with a ton of information. Thanks to all for sharing. Let me close by saying two words....Massive Attack
  16. Hey all, Long time lurker, first time poster here. Can I throw out Fat Boy Slim in the mix? I'm just saying.....
