Red Rocks is on my Bucket List.....looks like an amazing venue....I've watched many broadcast/dvd concerts from there.....it's beautiful
You will like it. It's in the foothills and only about 15 minutes from where we live.

Congrats ... those look to be original. I think you'll be impressed. I've certainly enjoyed mine, although I'd probably have K Horns if I had the corners!

Worth waiting forty years for this hug!
Wow, do tell!
This is my half brother. We were not raised together, but I've always known he was my brother. However, he didn't even know I existed until six or seven years ago we made contact via Facebook. He has been living in Alaska for quite a while. He and his wife sold everything they own and hit the road to travel the US about a month or so ago. He finally made it to our home yesterday evening.
What a great story. Thank you for sharing it and please keep us posted as it unfolds. So nice to hear about a family coming together for a change.
Not much to report out here except better half got tickets to see Diana Krall at Red Rocks (Morrison, CO) this evening. It's quite an outdoor venue. The weather looks a little iffy but I'm sure we'll perservere!
hang in there guys and cheers.

Happy Sunday, guys. Missed ya yesterday. Did the yardwork, took better half to Denver Botanic Gardens (quite a contrast with our yard), out to dinner and joined up with local friends. Gonna hickory smoke some ribs today and a friend is going to grill some crab legs so we'll a different take on surf and turf (maybe 'pig and claws').
Hey Chuck ... don't feel too bad on the diet. I blew the hell out of mine last night with a concrete from Dairy Queen just before we came home. Chocolate Orgy or something like that. Finished the whole thing. Carbs and sugar. Blechhh.
Cheers guys.

Happy Friday, gang. Nothing major to report ... just picking up my regular 'puter from the Geeks and playing a few tunes. I'm playing more and listening less these days.
Cheers to all.

I've made a conscious decision to be satisfied with what I have in terms of gear, at least for the foreseeable future. No need to get more. No need to unload anything. It's about the music, not the gear. My quest for 'stuff' never made me happy, just entertained for the moment.

My overall impression of Prima Luna is very favorable. Happened to be browsing in a local stereo shop in Denver and my friend who works in the shop turned it on. This wasn't exactly 'critical' listening so take my general impression for what it's worth. I do know that I'd go back and really audition this amp if I was in the market for new gear and willing to cough up the bucks. (I'd also want to hear the amp paired with horn loaded speakers).

Mornin' all. All this bathroom remodel talk is making me feel guilty. Have a long overdue hall bath that needs it. I've done partial remodels of the 2 other baths with a little help from friends or pros to finish the jobs. I'm much better at the cosmetic than the tough stuff Carl is doing in the pics. Great looking project, Carl.
Happy Tuesday and cheers to all.

Mornin' guys. Been MIA a couple of days.
Chuck ...hope the gathering went well. Jake looks very content even under watchful eyes. Baxter sends a 'woof.' Gary ... your projects may inspire us. Good luck on the show. MKP ... we seem to have much in common on our 'partying' pasts and subsequent changes. Keep on.
Fairly quiet weekend. We did go to see the latest Jurassic movie in 3D. Great special effects but pretty predictable otherwise.
Later folks.

Agree with JMON. I have Cornwalls in a room about that size and they've worked out well. (They replaced Heresys in the same space).

Well DAMN!! Looks like you'll just HAVE to get a pair now. Gotta keep her happy!

Ditto on the welcome. I'm in the Denver area too. Fill us in on what gear you have/want. This is a great place and you will enjoy. Chuck

Mornin' folks. Finally done screwing with new health ins. policies so it's on to the excitement of grass cutting and other cool stuff today. It's been sorta hot here too, but humidity is back in check so it's not too bad.
Chuck ...those are really nice pics. Been a long time since I visited NC and your pics are a good reminder. Pretty country.
Gary .. have fun on vacation.
Try to check back in a bit. Cheers guys.

Mornin' all. Another pretty day in our neck of the woods. Still ##!#'ing around with new health care plans but should finalize tomorrow. Should be a good day ... gonna jam with guitar buddy this afternoon. I always learn something playing with him.
Enjoy the day and cheers.

This is a fine opportunity for someone at prices well within the current market range. We've had an all-KLF HT for some years now (5.1 with 30s, 10's and C-7). It's terrific.

Happy Tuesday guys (and gal)! A couple of good reminders to get my high mileage Pathfinder in for an oil change and inspection by a real mechanic. Been guilty of relying on oil change shops.

Mornin' all. Gotta get caught up on the 'likes'.....been off a day or two. Hope everyone is well. Mostly working outside, swimming with granddaughter, and entertaining. BBQ yesterday with mesquite grilled burgers and lamb kebobs (with pineapple). Turned out pretty good.
Will try to stay in better touch this week.

Happy Friday guys. Don't want to distract anyone from swamp coolers, just wanted to say have a great Friday and weekend. Most of ours will be taken up with family and friends. Cheers.

Good afternoon folks. Just catching up (again). Pretty day here so far but busy on my end. Swamp coolers are still common in Colorado but are being overtaken in popularity by regular AC. I replaced mine with AC some years ago because it was both old and not in good shape. They can be excellent alternatives to AC in a climate with low humidity, which is generally the case here.
Cheers to all!!

Are you retired Chuck or on vacation?
Did some insurance shopping the last few days too. It seems State Farm failed to renew my homeowners and forgot to tell me. So I went 6 months with just wind and hail Went to another company for less money and an all in one policy.
Retired as of this past January. Actually looking at health care supplements to Medicare since I'm soon to be inelligible to continue on a corporate group plan.
