Hello all,
I have had my Chorus I's for a couple of years now and I am curious as to how I would know it's time to refurbish them. I also hear a lot of talk about Crites tweeters and crossovers. Would I benefit greatly from those products? Where would be the best place to purchase them and finally, where would I go to have them installed if I think it's beyond my capabilities. I am in SouthEastern CT btw.

Thank you @Mystik Cabs Please let me know what he says.
He said if you'll do $400 he'll grab them....

Where in MA are you?

Oh, nice...I have a friend looking for some Klipsch. I'll let him know.

Thanks for the replies, I am not really concerned with more volume but more "oomph". So far I have tried a 27 WPC Fisher X-1010C, a Denon 80 WPC, a Marantz 2216 @ 16 WPC and a Pioneer SX-850. The Pioneer is the clear winner here, just wondering if I'd be better of with even more power for quality of sound.

So I did a lot of searching last summer and found a pair of nice Chorus I. What is the ideal power to give them so they sound their best? Not so sure at the moment that they are the speakers for me...

Can you see the pics?, I think that your advice helped, thanks!

Thanks for the tips, but I didn't see a way to add pics. I also have no idea of it's value so that was the reason for the "make an offer" pricing. I am in the south eastern CT/south western RI area near the casinos. It's a heavy little bugger bit I could ship it if the buyer wants to pay for it.

Unfortunately it is too far, how much was he asking though?
I believe he is asking $800 but will sell for $700.

Is eastern Connecticut too far, I just bought a pair from a guy that has another pair for sale, also had Forte I and Quartets.

Hello????? is this thing on? lol.

Hey all, I wound up getting a pair of the Chorus. I am a happy camper, time to find some tube power now...thanks for all your advice.

Looking for something that has been updated and is ready to use. Fisher, H.H. Scott, or the like. Let me know what you have. If you can point me towards a reputable dealer for such stuff that would be appreciated too.

OK, I think LaScala's will be overkill for me and my space. I am going to demo the Chorus in the first CL link on Sunday. He has two pairs.I will also give the Forte and Quartets a liaten to have a reference point between his and my KG 4's. Thanks for all your advice so far.

Can someone describe the sound of the Chorus compared to the Forte's?
-
His pricing seems to be at the top end of what the speakers are worth, no?
The first link, no, second link, yes.
I could go $950 and get eth2's LaScala's and be done forever, right?Yes you could.
Not sure of the Klipsch line up I guess Are the Chorus anywhere near the speaker the LaScala is?Deeper bass from the Chorus but the LaScalas trump them everywhere else.
Bill
Thank You Bill!

Bill, in that first Craigslist ad there are multiple pairs, which model is what? Chorus, Forte and Quartet....that would be the closest to me...about a half hour drive.
Forgot to mention that right now I still run my old Denon DRA 545R ss, intergrated. I plan to go tube in the future....

I am in south eastern Connecticut, my budget would be under 1K and I would sell the KG 4's to help recover from whatever I might purchase.
-
Hello,
I'm new here...and hooked on Klipsch. I currently have a pair of KG 4's from 1984 in oiled walnut. Love them but am thinking of stepping it up a notch...or two. What model should I consider as an upgrade? If I had it my way I'd jump right to LaScala's...
Thanks

You could even start with 320 if they aren't too bad, then block sand in the same direction as the wood grain to eliminate any random circular scratches from the DA. Would you consider delivering the pair you are selling for an additional fee? To Connecticut, down by the Foxwoods casino?
