I would tend to believe by using the same amp/ output to the speaker would be a better test. By rocking the switch either position, one of the center speakers would be playing and you could hear the differences instantly with this method. Low-tech, but works.

I have been using the RB-81II (Vertical mount) as the center and have felt that I was not getting the full realm of the center channel stage. So, I decided to pick up a couple of new center speakers to test against each other (RB-81II, RC-62II, and BIC Acoustech PL-28II). Please keep in mind that this is based my opinion on my room set-up, listening preferences, etc..
I used a switched power strip and a 12 volt DC 30 amp relay and wired it to be the switch between center speakers (A & B.) So, basically flip the switch on the power strip would enable one speaker, then flip the switch off and the other speaker would play, works great. Only one speaker could play at any given time. I only tested 2 speakers against each other and would determine my choice to move on from there.
The center level is set a +2db on all comparisons and I didn't make any other adjustments to the set-up.
(1st Match-up) Klipsch RB-81II versus the BIC Acoustech PL-28II - The first impression is that the BIC plays quite a bit louder than the RB-81II. But, the RB-81II has more clarity and refinement easily and also does blend better with the RF-82II Left and Right Fronts. The BIC is not a bad speaker, it just doesn't work well in my system. So this round, the winner is the Klipsch RB-81II. BTW, my BIC is for sale, pm me if interested.
(2nd Match-up) Klipsch RB-81II versus RC-62II - My first impression is that they both sound very similar. After listening to different sources and at different volume levels, it was fairly easy to hear how the RC-62II seem to widen the center channel and bridge the gap between the front left and right speakers to give a better front sound stage presence. The RB-81II is a very good speaker, I'm just not sure it's wide enough in a audio sense to be a center channel for a large room such as mine.
So, the overall winner is the Klipsch RC-62II.

No. It was totally contrived. Sanders is on the Hillary Bandwagon now and expecting a nice VP position, of course if elected.do you guys think the debate was worthwhile?- 1

Agreed. But the masses will not want their kids having to go through metal detectors in school and such. Even though many inner-city schools already have this protocol. If you're going to strip someone's ability to defend themselves in a gun-free zone, then I think they should be otherwise protected by police presence. -
I think with two rows of seating with four in-ceiling speakers, only one row will get the best placement, of course unless your pre/pro can decode more than four. I have mine laid out just as the Dolby Atmos guide suggests for 7.1.4, but I have just one row of seating. Hopefully Nismo and or Jay will give their thoughts/ advice as they are both way more knowledgeable than I am on this subject.

Many of you reading this can attest. Many years ago, in high school, no one brought a gun to a fight, it was a fist fight, I lost many but won a few, but in the end no matter the outcome, I still was here and so was my opponent. WTF is happening today???I will agree if no one had guns it would be a wonderful country with less murders -
Unfortunately, a gun-free zone is a easy soft target. IMO, gun control is NOT the answer. This loser would have gotten a weapon no matter what. There is no easy way to stop this type of cowardly violence. The 'gun free' zone didn't work.- 2

I'm just gonna throw it out there cause I'm sick of seeing threads from him. He wants nice speakers for next to nothing. No one on this forum is just gonna give their stuff away. You were offered multiple crazy good deals on the thx ultras you wanted but none were good enough. Now you want some other speakers and were made a great offer yet still not good enough for you.
Get'em!

I saw them at the "Omni" in Atlanta in 87', since has been torn down. Great concert. Last night was like an event, not just watching/ listening to something on a hum-ho set-up, thanks to the gear!I saw Def Leppard way back in the day....good stuff.....Rick Allen had both arms.... -
Last night I streamed Def Leppard Viva Hysteria Live HD HQ Full Concert into the HT. It was fantastic, it was the next best thing than actually being there. On some songs I had it a reference, and surely the neighbors were loving me. The front soundstage was great and the bass was kicking me in the chest and the back. Good times!

I'm attempting to level match as Scrappy suggested so I just completed running Audyssey twice (all 8 positions) and it has changed the entire sound, but unfortunately not in a good way. It requested that I turn down the subs so much that they barely even move, changed my L/R to Large, Crossover points, etc. I have posted some pics of the changes that it made. I was expecting positive changes from this, but for me my ears can do better.
I will manually make changes back to the way I had it, cause if I were to leave it like this, I might as well just have a sound bar.
