  1. Lots of variables. It might be a good deal if the damage to the veneer is normal wear and tear, and the stock drivers and crossover have been well cared for. Ask if everything is stock. Remember, these things are almost 40 years old. I'm 46 and a lot of stuff started going out-of-spec on my body around 40. Same thing here. If you let emotions win out, you could end up with a couple pieces of damaged furniture with electronics and drivers in need of hundreds of dollars of repair.

. Thanks. Everything is stock so going to look and listening to them. Appreciate your reply.

  3. Just be patient and follow this forum (garage sale section), Audiogon.com and your local Craigslist. Buy locally is you can to avoid big shipping costs and also to get a chance to audition. BEST of luck.

Just about to go see a pair about 2 hours away. 1977, Walnut Oiled finish, but some damage to the veneer. $1,400. Thoughts?

  4. FOR SALE - Vintage pair KLIPSCH BELLE - In good working order.... have the Oiled Oak finish, a few "dings" on the cabinets - nothing unusual for their age! Price - $1,500 for the pair. I am in Minnesota - these are too big and heavy to ship.....see photos - any questions - feel free to ask!

They look great. We will be in MN next month, wish the trip was this week instead.

    Good luck with the sale.

  5. I'm unsure on that particular model but from what I have seen in the past...if it is up to spec, it should be a decent price for one of those (basing my advice on a similar but less "electronic" MAC 4100)...

    Thanks Bill.

Need to get a pair of Khorns first though. Two people have agreed to sell me theirs and have backed out so far. Just changed their minds. I'm trying to get a local dealer to sell me his 30 year old display units (rosewood finish), let's see how that goes.

    Best,

    Mitt.

  6. I have a pair of Klipschorn corner speakers for sale. They are in amazing condition & sound great (of course.) Type KC-BR and have a darker stain. Serial #s 12S231 & 12S232. I live in the Monterey Peninsula area of California. Depending on my schedule, I'd be willing to deliver them to LA/OC area of CA, as I pass through there occasionally. I'm asking $2500. Please see my craigslist ad for pictures. https://monterey.craigslist.org/ele/5199485964.html

I take it that these are long gone. Just in case they aren't, wee just moved to Seaside and am looking for a pair of Khorns.

    Thanks,

    Mitt.

  7. Congratulations on your New speakers! I truly hope that you enjoy them thoroughly.

I've been wanting to buy a pair of Khorns for a while now and the wife just gave the thumbs up. I found a few used pairs all over California but none locally as yet. I found a MAC 4300 amp for $1400. I appreciate some guidance here. Is that a good amp for the Khorns? I typically listen to Classical, Jazz and Acoustic music.

    Thanks,

    Mitt.

There is almost no one who doesn't like McIntosh sound with Klipsch speakers...

    Bill

    Thanks Bill.

Is $1400 a good price though? It looks like a well used but well taken care of amp.

    Thanks,

    Mitt.
