Ok guys and gals. Do I have to "seal" the 15 inch bass speaker to the plywood ? Or can I just bolt it to the plywood ?

La Salas boss not to bad , some dings rounded corners . But for $275.00 with the k 400 horns $100 for drivers $100for tweeters not bad.but I saw a 1958 Studebaker Hawk for $20,000. It sounds as though you can actually get more out of these than you have invested. I would call that very WAF. Lots of folks here gained WAF factor by explaining it this way. Once you know what to look for when you are buying, you can buy below market price, enjoy for a while, then sell for more than you paid. It's win win. Oh I might keep these , I have had my kg5.5 for twenty years .

That won't work, I knew her sister way before I met my wife.but that's ok , she knows how I am. I can't wait to get these up and running , I have wanted a pair for 20 year's .So I need to get Eminence kappa 15c at 4 ohm? Is the xover 4 ohm at the woofer?

I don't have crossovers so that's open looks like the Eminence 15 c is the way to go.but I will see what the guy I got the cabs from has. Marvel, what crossover did you build? I kinda like it loud just below the volume that the pictures start to fall off of the wall .

The guy has k 33 , someone said Eminence . He also has JBL dont know what they have cast frames though.is there a xover build thred ?

Oh the guy I got them from had a storage locker full ,some sort of k horns , Cornwall cabs,Herseys, 12 inch k horns and on and on.

I think the AA or A has any one built them. I could do that.I plan on sanding the cabs and seeing what they are like under the paint. I will respray fronts because I think it would be to hard to sand in there. One question how long of screws do I need to get to mount woofers and tweeters ? My brotherinlaw paints professionally so a little help there I hope. Oh I'm going to use a Dynamo St 70 amp my friend is building for me

So I got a pair of La Salas finally.I got the boxs with the k400s for $275.00 another $200 for the k77s and k55 push on posts..I have some KLH 15 inch speakers I am going to use . What i really need is crossovers. The cabs are berch that have been painted black with some dings but not to bad. These will replace my KG 5.5s w/Creitis crossovers and titanium elements in the horn. Which really brought them to life.
