  1. Yes you did…good eyes. I have the corresponding preamp and tuner sitting in the closet. Using a Denon 7.1 receiver to drive the HT…with the Klipschorns driven by the Marantz amp. We’re “brothers”😁
  2. Just to close the happy-ending on this purchase…here is a video of these speakers now setup in my room. I may need to raise my HT screen. BTW - it was almost comical with me (65) and Glynn (70+) loading these into my rental cargo van. The things we do. Last post - I promise:).
  3. So I did indeed buy these Klipschorns. The seller - Glynn - is a great guy. Ever since I first heard a Klipschorn in college - around 1977 - I’ve always dreamed of someday getting them. We’ll…this last week finally arrived - 45+ years later. Number one - they are absolutely beautiful speakers - I love the exterior of the 60th anniversary speaker. Second…the sound is wonderful. I can hear subtle sounds in the music I haven’t heard before. The centering of the sound is incredible. When I first played some music, I had to check and confirm the music wasn’t coming out of my center channel. I find myself listening to the music at a lower volume vs my previous KG5.5 speakers - I think that is because of the clarity. The sound from the speakers seems to be “effortless” - such a clean sound….vocals sound right there. Given the size of the speakers with so much centered on the bottom cabinet…I expected the bass to be a little stronger….but I have a small subwoofer that adds just enough. I’ve found the bass is so dependent on the recording - some songs have strong bass and some not….I need to get a subwoofer with a remote🤪. I kinda feel like I’ve reinvigorate my joy of listening to music.
  4. I have an old (30+years) old Marantz amp…someday maybe a better amp.
  5. I got them all connected - thanks for the help. Here is a picture. These are the 60th anniversary Klipschorns a forum member listed recently - my first Klipschorns.
  6. Here is a wider photo. Now I'm thinking incoming speaker wire attached to HF IN...jumpers go to LF IN and the banana plugs plug into HF IN?
  7. I just purchased a pair of used Klipschorns. I think I know how to make the speaker wire connections...but would like verification. I searched far and wide across the internet....couldn't find anything for my specific question. I'm assuming my incoming speaker wires attach to the two posts on the right. The top part of the speaker have a wire with two "banana" style connectors...assuming I can plug those into the two posts on the right. And the two wires on the left posts...assuming those would connect to the two posts on the right. Do I have this correct? Thanks, Dave
  8. How close do they need to be? On one side, the speaker can side tight against the wall. On the other side, the speaker will sit 3 - 5 inches away from the wall…is that too far?
  9. Hi Vince…I might be passing by your way next week. Any chance I could listen to them? Dave

  12. Wow. Thank you so much for the “heads up”. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Saw these local to me - about a 20 minute drive to check them out. I currently have KG5.5 speakers - I feel they are “just ok”…kinda want to try something else. Might these La Scalas be a somewhat lower cost way to try something different? https://houston.craigslist.org/ele/d/houston-klipsch-la-scala/7558259454.html Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
