So, I've only been looking at the garage sale forum and never clicked on Alerts until you mentioned it. Oh well.
-
I'm in VA, my only hope was with the shipping.
-
Yeah, I found that out with the Subwoofer deal that started today. Mad, I missed the RB-61s though. Lesson learned.
-
I got excited when I saw this thread thinking I would see an answer. A pair of KSF 8.5s popped up for 200 on CL that I was thinking about using for rears.
-
When was the RB61 deal? I've seen it referenced a couple of times and thought it was old until now.
-
I also check a few retailers that price matched but Fry's wasn't listed in their allowable online promotions.
-
Grizzog beat me to it. I guess that 400 will stay in my pocket then.
-
I just wanted to point out JRep37's post on the Frys.com deal. They will be selling the R-115sw for $399 starting tomorrow. https://slickdeals.net/f/9642916-klipsch-r-115sw-subwoofer-399-fry-s-1-8-1-14?p=94828208&comment=success#post94828208

So I'm still trying to decide what surrounds I want and noticed some KSF-S5s for sale. This brought up a question, how would I determine which are good Synergy series vs the not so great ones that were sold at BestBuy?
-
Yeah, I will have to decide how I want to play it.
-
Well my RF-7s weren't mint but I was happy to get them for the price. The same could be said about getting the RC-7. It simply had scratches on it and they called it Fair. Right now I have my quintets on the back line but have been looking at the surrounds and possibly some RB-3s for the rears.
-
I will certainly think about it. I find it hard to pay that much for the surrounds when I only paid 400 for the pair of RF7s. The fronts were listed as fair condition but didn't have any issues that weren't cosmetic.
-
So my guy just posted his surrounds. He's selling the RS3s for 150, the RS52s for 300 and the RS7s for 500. He initially reached out to me about the 3s. I guess he realized he had already gotten quite a bit of my money in the last week. So what are your thoughts on these prices? I know the 7s would be the best option but I can't swing that price after buying the other speakers.
-
Price is good too?
-
So what's the group's opinion of RB-25s. A pair showed up for 160 and If I'm going to change the surrounds, I might as well update the rears as well.
-
Thanks, I will keep an eye out for them.
-
Thanks. Yeah, he mentioned the RS-7s but said these were still good since the 7s are hard to come by.
-
Thanks. He reached back out to me because he's selling a pair of RS-3s. What's the opinion on those surrounds? The price is 150.

I would like to thank everyone for the advice given on this thread. I am the new owner of RF-7s and a RC-7. It was a pretty funny story too. Calhockey10 added 2 links for the speakers but I was having trouble getting in touch with the guy that had the mains. Well I finally called him and he mentioned that he had already found a buyer. So I simply moved on, and focused on picking up the center speaker. Well, while I was on my way to pick up the RC-7 the other gentleman called back to see if I still wanted the RF-7s. Well of course I did, so I asked where he was located. Crazy as it seems, it was the location I was already heading to. The seller of the center was the son of the guy selling the mains. I ended up having to come back the next day because I had driven my car over there, but I now have the entire front line.
-
I will be picking up the center today but the guy with the fronts has a buyer. He said he would let me know if the deal falls through but right now I'm going to treat it as if they are sold.
-
Thanks again for this link. The guy did still have the RC-7. So, I'm planning on getting it. The only issue is that I haven't gotten a response from the seller of the RF-7s. I've emailed him twice, but there is also a phone number so I'm going to try to text him. Either way, I should probably get the RC-7 anyway right?
-
Yeah, that horn totally threw me off.
-
I'm still in the market and waiting for a response on the 7s. However, I was curious about the WF-34s and the WC-24. I was surprised to find Klipsch speakers without the horn.
