  1. Yup, there are definitely different heat levels of jalapenos. As stated previously cross pollination happens. I grew jalapenos next to my ghost pepper and scorpion pepper plants once !!! OMG, those jalapenos were so friggin hot, I couldn't even stand it. I always dehydrate my peppers and turn them into powder with my VitaMix. I gave that super hot jalapeno powder, scorpion pepper powder & the ghost pepper powder to a guy I used to work with. He loved it. I have enough poblano pepper, mild jalapeno & tobasco pepper powder to last me the rest of my life ! To anyone wanting to do this yourself : make sure ALL the moisture is out. Before turning on blender wet some paper towels and drape them over the top & use a big rubber band, to catch the fine powder that escapes. Open directly under your stoves exhaust fan while on high. If not, you will effectively pepper spray your entire house. Lol, it didn't bother me but the rest of the family was NOT HAPPY ! Lol Or just do it outside & stand up wind ! Lol
  2. Let's just calm down for a minute. Take a breath & ponder some things. I have had sound systems in vehicles that sound great-with 6x9's & 6.5" speakers. I have 3 pairs of Klipsch bookshelf speakers that sound great - but do they produce earth moving bass ? No, they don't but they still sound great. I simply do not believe that a 6.5", 8", 10" speaker that has a spl of 100 db or more, in a double or triple folded horn would make it less efficient than a zero folded design. I fully understand that they would probably have to be used with a sub. I think they would sell like hot cakes. I am a HS graduate so really don't want to get into scientific equations here. I'm just saying I think it is a great idea that would sell well & was willing to share it with a company that I believe in. Simple as that. I do not believe that it wouldn't work. I don't think anyone would seriously expect them to perform on the exact same level as the full sized ones. But it would bring the ability for so many people to be able to have great sound, nostalgia, and craftsmanship in a small area, like a bedroom or dorm room, small apartments, etc, without taking up valuable real estate. I wish I had the money and the space for a new pair of LaScala's but I do not. It was just a friendly suggestion. Don't want a war here.
  3. I am 56 yrs old now and have been buying Klipsch since 82' when I was in Germany. I have had this idea ever since we carried my LaScalla's up 3 flights of stairs......but never gave it any serious thought until recently, with all the advancements in technology. Would it be possible to design a miniature-ish folded horn, using a 6.5", 8" ,10", or 12" high SPL driver ? I have no idea if this is possible but if it is & sounded good enough to put the Klipsch name on it, you would sell a lot of them. Baby LaScalla or baby Klipschorn. It could be a great way to guarantee future sales of the actual size ones. Even if you had to pair it with a sub, I know I would buy some. Just a friendly thought I wanted to share. Back to your regularly scheduled program now.
  4. Just wanted to introduce myself & say hi, from an old guy of 53. Joined the US ARMY & served in Kaiserslautern Germany from 1981-1984. They had these things called "Audio-Visual" clubs/stores on some of the bases. In their speaker room, they literally had hundreds of different speakers, all hooked up to the same source. I quickly got on a first name basis with the speaker room people. Because I drove a semi-truck, i got to frequent a LOT of different Audio-Visual stores. I talked them all into putting a few chairs in their speaker rooms, so people like me could go in, sit down, eyes closed, & listen to all kinds of different speakers. Every single time, I always picked out the Klipsch as sounding the best. As I educated myself on speakers & stereo equip, I also discovered some of the tricks that certain places would play---in order to make up for the shortfalls of their products, including/especially speakers. Speakers that lacked in low end were set on carpeted hollow sub floors. Ones lacking a bright high end tended to be showcased in a room with hard floors & so on. Most of those were manufacturer specific---NOT the A/V club employees. Yet regardless of environment or placement, the Klipsch delivered the sound BIG TIME. So, I ended up leaving Germany with a pair of Klipsch Heresey's & a pair of Klipsch LaScalla's. After a few years of pissing off the neighbors, I did one of the few things in life that I regret. I donated my Klipsch LaScalla's to my High School Music Department. I could see myself getting arested, because i like my music loud & clear. That was 33 years ago. Since then, I have gotten married, had 2 children (now grown & in College), worked a career & just retired from it. I have no idea if the High School still has them or if they disappeared after someone "retired" over the years. I still have my Heresey's & they are still rocking my house. I just purchased 4 Klipsch bookshelf speakers & put them in my garage. For little speakers, they rock my garage. Neighbors have already "mentioned it", LOL I am a life long Klipsch fan & if I lived in Hope Arkansas, I might see if I could work there, doing something. I am a BIG fan of the "Made in the USA" Klipsch products & have probably sold quite a few over my life, just by letting people listen to mine. TwinStick
