  1. Back from Stereo ADV with a clean bill of health....static on the volume know is gone. New pics Sansui AU 6600 Integrated Stereo Amplifier (1975-76) I bought it from the original owner recently who purchased it in 1976. Amazing condition for its age. All hook ups work and it sounds great through my Forte II's. *Disclaimer. I detected a little static in the volume knob so I am currently having that remedied by Stereo ABV in Cincinnati. The original owner just had it serviced in St. Louis. My price is $300.00 + shipping Unit Specs: Power output: 42 watts per channel into 8Ω (stereo) Frequency response: 10Hz to 40kHz Total harmonic distortion: 0.15% Damping factor: 30 Input sensitivity: 2.5mV (MM), 100mV (DIN), 100mV (line) Signal to noise ratio: 70dB (MM), 85dB (DIN), 85dB (line) Channel separation: 50dB (MM), 55dB (line) Output: 100mV (line), 30mV (DIN), 0.8V (Pre out) Speaker load impedance: 8Ω (minimum) Semiconductors: 45 x transistors, 16 x diodes, 3 x zener diodes, 1 x LED Dimensions: 434 x 130 x 315mm Weight: 11.3kg Year: 1975
  2. Looking to purchase one that works flawlessly (rebuilt) to round out my vintage set up. I am in Cinci..
  3. Fell into my first pair of Klipsch and after listening, I believe they could sound better. I have ordered the crossover upgrade caps from BC along with the replacement ti tweeters. Since I am pulling the xovers for some soldering work, does it make sense to upgrade the binding posts as well? Please recommend some good posts and where to get them... Pics just because....Thx, BigStar
  4. Just threw an au 6600 into my modest mix. With a Thorens table on one side and the Forte ii's on the the other the living room has never sounded so harmonious. I am saving my pennies for an au 111 now.
