I was not at all a fan of Romo on the field, but I think he is doing a good job in the booth and I don't miss the cranky Simms at all.

I have not heard Romo broadcast yet, but some of my co-workers report he is a marked improvement over Simms.

didn't know Romo retired.  I thought he was still with the team as the backup.  What's the story with what he is doing now?

    • HE got a sore throat and is expected to be out for four to six weeks, counting rehab in a college game broadcast.
    • And ITS BASEBALL SEASON!!!

I'm tired, we spent all day rewiring audio today, both 2 ch and Ht, many changes back and forth with home theater receiver, DAC feeding everything with different inputs and connections, at one point today we had a hum but now gone. Everything redone and tuned up, levels set and new sub installed with amp. It's awesome, sounds great, listened to some music for testing and a few minutes of a movie just to make sure everything was working as it should.  A few more small things to get it complete, set the HT individual speaker levels and rename a few inputs and it's done.

It's a real pain dealing with all the different components and how each has to be connected for the best results, this would have taken me at least days by myself, probably more. The is the part of this hobby I don't care for.

Ahhhhh the joys uv wire management.

  4. Pity that I am in Phoenix.

I would advise using them for a month or two and then deciding on disposition. It may be that you would like them.

if not, then Dave has anecdotal data on relative worth in varied and distinct locales, as stated above.

So hie thee to the rigging and prepare to be boarded! Grab yer favorite wench, shove off to yer favorite grog shop and invest the poop deck! Keelhaul the bilge rats, un- bury yer treasure and enjoy yer booty. Yo ho ho and a bottle uv rum. Fire up the horn pipe and call all hands on deck. Move smartly me lads for bung hole has been un stoppered and the grog be flowing. Pipe Cap'n Jack aboard, unfurl the Jolly Roger, spill a libation to Neptune, and let the festivities begin!

  6. Me, allowing dogs onto walled, gated front porch, "They won't jump over the wa....Shiz-nit! Get back here!"
Run to get leashes.....jump in car......cruise neighborhood......talk to guy at mailboxes. "They went that-a-way!" Find them and whistle.
They hop in car, 1/2 mile from house. Drive 1 block and notice smell of fresh poo pervading car. Bulldog has suspicious schmear on chest. Most unsavory. Get home. Grab whippet's collar.......squish, gag. Note a copious amount of intestinal sculpture his collar and my hand. Drag critters into backyard, and hose the ******* down. Life Bouy, Irish Spring, Dawn  and Brillo for the mitts. What a hideous way to end a day. (I work nights) But I still like de dogs, even if Dey are confined to the backyard for the day.

That's a good idea(hex head). I have rustoleum black spray paint I used on the horns that I can quickly paint the screws again, but the hex head might be a really nice subtle change, though i wonder if the hex heads are too fat and protrude from the horn oddly.  Do they make flatter ones?

Here are a few of the common screw head types, available in most drive types:
