  1. I got my KLF-30's brand new from UBid for $800 and $200 went to shipping. So a total of $1000. Knowing they are getting harder to find, you might have been lucky on the find. If you a really like the speakers get them and talk them down a little more. You could always re-paint them the color of your desire, professionally or do it your self.
  2. Knowing that Ubid only sell discontinued klipsch products...does that mean that since their are alot of promedia 4.1 being sold...klipsch has discontinued this product? Thanx, Michael ------------------ Michael Tangonan
  3. Sorry to hear about your problem...I too just purchased my KLF-30's from UBid about 2 weeks ago and mine work fine...I would suggest to get it repaired by klipsch if you really like these speakers...if you look in the owners manual, in the second paragraph I think you will have to pay for the shipping to get it fixed...that's going pain...by the time you get it back you would probably paid $1,200 for the whole thing...If not get your money back from Ubid and by a different klipsch product... ------------------ Michael Tangonan
  4. I just got my new KLF-30's a couple of weeks ago and I was wondering what I should do about hook-ups. I was think of using a pair of Marantz ma6100 THX Ultra Certified mono-blocks for one speaker rated about 125 watts. Should I use one amp for the tweeters and the other amp for the woofers(bi-amping)....OR....should I bridge the amps together to get 360 watts and bi-wire to the speakers? I know in normal listen we don't usually listen to more than 40 to 50 watts, but doen't more power for KLF-30's make them sound better? ------------------ Michael Tangonan
  5. I just got my NEW KLF-30's the other day and I was wondering if I should bi-wire or bi-amp theses speakers...has anyone done either of these techniques...which sounds better? I was thinking on using a pair of Marantz mono-blocks for each speaker for bi-amping...or should I save money and just buy another speaker wire for bi-wiring...suggestions please... Thanx, Michael ------------------ Michael Tangonan
  6. Was wondering if anyone new what type of BLACK paint klipsch uses. What is the BRAND and can I buy it in a store? Thanx, Michael ------------------ Michael Tangonan
  7. Noz, I use a Viewsonic LCD projector. I have gotten great results on it. Being a few years old, I still get the "WOW" effect from everyone who watches a movie on my screen. For the price, these projectors in my view are a great deal. Try looking at their new LCD projectors, mainly the PJ500 and PJ550. I am drooling on their PJ550. This thing is bright, HDTV capable, and can change aspect ratio's from normal TV(4x3 mode) to widescreen(16x9). It even has a component input to for a progressive scan DVD player for a "film like" picture. What I have seen is that the projectors retail prices run around $1,800(PJ500) and $2,200(PJ550) U.S. dollars. So pretty much you could find one a couple hundred less than the retail. Here is Viewsonic's website...WWW.Viewsonic.com. Scroll down to the projector section and check them out. You made a wise choice in going with a projector...you won't believe your eyes when your watching 100 or 120 inch screen. As for the screen, I use a 120 inch (4x3)Dalite screen(basic pull down screen)...it was about $200 dollars. I use it both for normal and widescreen viewing. I hope this helps. These projectors are cheaper than HDTV big screen TV's. Take a look at them. Michael ------------------ Michael Tangonan
