  1. Yawns are getting closer together here too. Later folks.
  2. Back in the day. We had several here in the city but only two UHF channels for years on that B&W. & I'd always get busted for staying up late because she would come in from choir practice and put her hand on top of the cabinet to see if it was warm from the picture tube! It was Sunday night and Mission Impossible was on after my bedtime!
  3. What was that pic you put up once last year @Dave1290 Or was it @dirtmudd Must have been one of you two. "lead a man to water and he'll never be thirsty" then "turn a man onto vinyl and he'll always be broke"
  4. size 2XL and Thank you very much got to be around these guys more and you'd get it!
  5. I wouldn't know unless I tear up some sheetrock and find a stash inside a wall!
  6. He said something like "found a picture"
  7. Heck Yeaaa! Molly Hatchet, Judas Priest, UFO... same show in that tiny Park Center where the wrestling was all the time Or Scorpions opening for somebody that they blew off the stage and I forgot about!!
  8. He opened for Aerosmith at least that many times here! That's the decade when I went to a bunch of shows!
  9. You're welcome Billy, he was the Rodney of 70s rock & Roll.
  10. Those are great but my fave is:
  11. We were leaving the pavilion area at Myrtle Beach to get on the main highway to head south where we were staying and could hear them playing outdoors and smell the reefer from the highway. Must have been `77 or `78.
  12. I'd bet it's been twenty years since I've seen that movie, d*mn good war flic!
  13. Those two were great musicians and I could correctly sing along with most of their music in the late 70s early 80s! Before my tribute post above that Daltry got me more mellow. These guys were big back then also.
  14. Those buttons... put `em under a florescent light for a couple minutes and see if they glow! Had to edit My post when my peripheral vision saw the cabinet right next to me... Been listening to "the Don" for the last hour or so and got sidetracked. On RSB they said Teddy opened up with the national anthem there! Still love you in NC Ted Nugent, thanks for being a patriot!! Old Stock here.
  15. Cool, didn't have a color tv until about 1985 1975 so never saw one of those technological marvels from the 60s before! *wrong decade. Know how I know? the cabinet next to me in here I made the guts for it in shop the year after the bicentennial... 1977 That was the cabinet for the B&W Zenith that I watched the Green Hornet on, and Gilligan, Ultraman, HeHaw, Watergate.....
  16. Come and get It @Dave1290 Ha! OSU is going down baby!
  17. When I didn't know as much about the harmonic distortion talked about with tubes and the RX1100 was measured with such incredible S/N ratios that great tuner, .00x distortion not at 20w RMS but at listening levels that I thought had made a big difference. I know their newer ones with the simple knobs and a pot on the face looked like old stuff. But my lack of knowledge that I'm a little better with now sent me searching. That Cambridge CX series was priced good and really has a good sound to it so I've been happy with it (stuck with it) too. Didn't have any to listen to and was stuck here mostly then being a caregiver.
  18. Nope not unreasonable, fortunate to have those beautiful SS amps connected to LaScalas! * Their stuff from the last decade had deplorable specs as far as I was concerned, so I found Cambridge before I rebuilt my rig!
  19. @baron167 Thought that was Yamaha red amp lights behind the glass. One of those from the late 70s led to me owning a monstrous RX-1100 for thirty years. It was a sad day when I had to let it go because the led screen quit working right and it was tied to the control board. Still sounded good for a while longer.
  20. Bad a s s is a slang term for way cool, radical, extreme, wicked... a superlative! Seen several audiophile porn pics of your rig all over!
  21. Yea I recall you saying that awhile back, that's a shame. Can you pull it up on your pc or a streamer to go with your badas* system? I'd forgot how much I loved that particular Clapton record with the black lab on the cover. His work was masterfully done!! What to follow that outstanding LP with? Another one of his! Seriously if there was ever a vid I put up that you should listen to the whole thing I'd recommend the one above!! I know that's a lot of exclamation points. * this one starts with one covered by my first favorite band: Aerosmith
  22. That's a tough game without pads! A co-worker played it and Mondays sometimes he was beat all to *ell. And this dude was the opposite of scrawny!
  23. Or to bring back feeling like a kid ! I use the Claypool Lennon Delirium for that.
  24. With the sarcasm it is strong at that site. ( in Yoda's voice)
