I snagged my first pair of “older” Klipsch Speakers. These are first gen Epic CF-2 in Cherry. So far, I am really liking them.

I have been a huge supporter of the older Reference speakers and the Paladium line but I am having a good time with my new purchase!

CF-2s are underrated speakers. Nice pickup!

I have a mid level Emotiva pre-amp, and the remote is a work of art. It's all aluminum and pretty heavy.

Yea those multi channel amps are beasts.

Looks like they've moved away from the beefy remotes. The remotes for my PT-100 and MC-700 are made of light, cheap feeling plastic.

Pretty solid little amp, for the price it's built better than it should be. A true 50 wpc and clean sounding. Using them on a very sensitive speaker, over 110db@1w and if they had problems I would hear it.

This is only the second thing I bought from that brand, the other was a DAC, both perform better than they should for the price and built like a tank.

I've used mine with my '76 Heresy, RB-5, KP-2500-C, and La Scala. It's great for temporary setups (like when I was painting the kitchen after we moved and used it with the RB-5s). At the moment, it's in the garage powering the 102db@1w KP-2500-Cs, providing the tunes while I work on vehicles. Nice, clean power in a small and easily moved package. No complaints to report.

All the Emotiva stuff I've owned has been very solidly built. Especially the 80 lb beast of an XPA-5. Best bang for the buck out there, IMO.

Yeah, that little Mini A-100 as listed now has been around a long time, back to the days of Sherbourn. Every few years they do a refresh but for the money it is pretty hard to beat. Quite the little trooper.

Just ran the Pilgrimage by my wife, we will have to see. My daughter is playing for a National volleyball team based here in Michigan but plays in Pittsburgh the following weekend. I will make every effort to get down there. I would love to meet all my Klipsch friends!

    I love my A-100.

Wow, I can't believe you said what I was thinking!  My first thought when I saw the XPA-5 gen 1 was "I'm pretty sure I have some satin black spray paint in the basement."

Not of fan of the aluminum trim.  Is there any problem with me spray painting it black?

You do you, but I personally went with the trim upgrade so it would match my MC-700

Very good... it's way more capable than I use it for. The filter sets and all the mcacc capabilities are quite extravagant. I did basic pro mcacc processing and choose pure direct and I am happy for Home Theater and 5.1 music.

I use class d preouts for my LR fronts and am probably going full preout for all five channels eventually.

Good to hear! I love my SC-05, so I'm happy to get into another Pioneer Elite AVR. I doubt I'll ever use most of its capabilities, but they're nice to have.

Look what followed me home after only an 8 hour driving day, Emotiva XPA-5 gen1.  I've got 5 1m SVS RCA cables coming in Thursday.

My original plan was to use the living room Marantz 6001 as the pre, bi-amping the L/R and using the 5th channel for the Center, but you what?  The Marantz already has 125 watts to 9 discrete amps power a 3.1 RF-83 and RC-64.

Most of my listening is done in the Mancave so I think I'm going to use the Onk 717 as a pre-out and see if 200 wpc will wake up the CF-4's!

The 77 pound Sherbourn SR-120 AVR in the pic bit the dust, but nobody told me the XPA-5 was close to 90 pounds!

You are going to love it, and it is indeed a beast. Get some Gen 2-3 trim for it ;)
