  1. Okay I'll be the elephant in the room, I've heard at most a couple of times in BestBuy and actually liked the effect... but I do understand where you're coming from with having to have more speakers and channels Etc when is enough enough...

  2. I guess I'll go a different direction here than everybody else I've heardatmos BestBuy and was impressed however I've never heard it in my own home so I'm not sure if that makes a difference or not, glad to see the discussion though as I am considering upgrading my receiver so it has atmos...

Really need 4 of these, 2 doesn't do much.  Sometimes they can be localized as well so the effect is kind of killed.  I like the RP-280FA's better.

Hey Metro just curious why do you think they sound better in at 280 FAS then they do stand alone are they not the same components in the 140 is that they put in the 280fas...

  4. Wow surprised no one has responded to this...  But it seems like most here rave about the heritage line, although I myself have not heard them... I did however upgrade from 4.2s to rp280f, while it wouldn't be the same type of upgrade for you I do find that the two eighties or much more better acoustic Lee and with guitars and such, but do not seem it filled the room with sound as easily as my 4.2s did... I would think that the course would be a good upgrade but hopefully others here will chime in... I do however think that the kg series are very good in their own right even though they're not heritage...

  5. Nice YouTube page how was wondering what your handle was on there....  I will definitely check out some of your videos...  in all seriousness I prefer Youth Man also I know you the story behind that was just kidding about the lascala change

There is no doubt they do.  I've heard RF-82 II that sounded fantastic.  Room acoustics and proper calibration have a lot to do with it.  My RF-83 / RC-64 sounded amazing until I bought a pair of LaScalas.  It was an entirely new experience.  There will always be bigger / better out there (even with my LaScala Trio setup).  You eventually have to get to a place where you are satisfied with what you have and can sit back and enjoy the sound.

I mentioned the 440 thinking that was the largest of the RP centers.  I'm still not super familiar with the new model numbers.

I agree with you that's more or less what I was trying to say I'm sure once you got the lascalas it was a whole nother level have not heard them personally but I would love to

  7. Keep in mind youth man has 3 la scalas for his fronts,  probably not much in Magnolia that's going to impress him too much... lol, I on the other hand have the 280 and love them, as well as using a 250cc for my center which to my ears sounds fine but my rooms are not as big as yours....  most on here would agree that youth man system is A Cut Above better all comes back to what kind of deals you can find and what kind of budget you are on...  as I'm sure youthman will tell you that much of what he's bought is used and got very good deals on....

  8. Touche in regards to to what @jjptkd said in regards to eBay... definitely good advice and something to consider,  however I was just quickly trying to give you a price to go off of and as the other member mentioned it's always better to start a little bit higher...  glws....
