  1. Haha; got a call back with "drop it off and we'll check it out ... could be 2+ months to get the parts."
  2. Thanks; emailed service center near me
  3. Pretty sure it does. The multi-zone setup is for multi-zone speakers "out." Yes; all CD/DVD decks are set to PCM Think zone-2 pre-out is just DEAD It's a no go with HDMI inputs and also no go with AC RCA inputs. Note; RCA inputs work on zone-3 Used zone-2 pre-out to send a signal (from HDMI 1-3 only) to my Crown/KPT-904's. Since I'm pretty sure it does NOT work anymore, planning on just hooking up my main DVD player (Oppo) direct to the KPT's via RCA. Haha, less buttons to push for the wife. Anyone know of any affordable (and less than 16" depth) AVR's that have HDMI to pre-out transfer? Paid $600 for my Onk 4 years ago, but NLA. Only need 5.1. All I can find is a Yamaha RX-A6A which is too deep (and too expensive at $2300). Have not checked out Denon, nor Marantz (hate that little porthole). Cheers, Emile
  4. Haha, please do as I am now totally confused
  5. Actually, who knows? Yes, "loose nut" and many pilot errors with modes not compatible with CD/DVD's. All-channel stereo seems to be the only thing that works Will "play" more with that. But did determine that the HDMI passthrough to zone-2 pre-out is BAD. Spend a day and a half on that So; switched to "zone-3," which of course ( ) does NOT take HDMI inputs. Therefore just using an RCA cable from my Oppo to the AVR. Haha, probably would have been easier just to go Oppo to preamp/Crown/KPT-904's (which I did try just to make sure the big speakers worked) Yes, still shopping for a new AVR. Looked at many, including a Yamaha RX-A2A ... Jeez; even that one does NOT pass-through HDMI to pre-out. $1000 and NO GO May have to live with this one or go high-end Marantz - but hate that little porthole Cheers, Emile
  6. Well; Onkyo AVR is working again And @Khornukopia graciously accepted to cancel the "buy." Thank you SIR
  7. Well ... long story. Now 99% sure Onk is working just fine Thanks to the "experts" here I was sure my Onk had major problems. So; replaced it with a Yamaha RX-V673 which gave me the same problems. But ... turned out I was just stupid as I tried my subwoofer with CD's that DID NOT have a subwoofer track Once I put in a "surround-sound" DVD everything was fine. And, my surround speakers not working was due to it being switched to "direct," which only gives L/R Still have the Yamaha hooked up, but major problem with that unit is that HDMI inputs are NOT transferred to "zone-2." Need that to drive my Crown/KPT-904's/HF top. Oh well; lesson learned; back to the Onk And, many kudo's to @Khornukopia who graciously let me cancel the $1 sale Cheers, Emile
  8. Was going to buy these as I have some problems with my 15" Dayton sub. But, will keep on tinkering with mine ... we'll see. Great price at $700 for the pair. New these are $900 EACH. Seller will NOT ship. Located near Orlando, FL. https://orlando.craigslist.org/ele/d/clermont-svs-micro-3000-black-x2/7488781642.html
  9. Only $150 ... go get them
  10. Haha, bought a Yamaha RX-V673 as a temporary unit and put the Onk in the Garage sale for $1
  11. Haha; actually "free" as I don't intend to collect my $1 Not a bad deal ... USED ones on FleaBay are $600-$800
  12. It has been a while since we shipped things to each other Will PM my address
  13. OK; how can I refuse If it is more than say $20 to ship the box, let me know as I can get boxes and foam panels from the Home Depot Also, can ship "direct," but if you have a UPS account it maybe cheaper
  14. Let me sleep on it ... don't have a box and due to its weight it requires some major packing But ... you are one of the good guys here
  15. OK; had some problems with this Onkyo TX-RZ810 See So; temporarily replaced it with a Yamaha RX-V673 (local buy for $80) till I decide on my "next" AVR. Had problems with sub pre-out. Haha; maybe OK since the Yammie really did not solve the problem Note, L/R/C work just fine. Had a problem connecting surround speakers from "speaker-outs." NO clue as they started working just FINE - maybe I did not follow the setup instructions correctly. Also never got "zone-3" to work ... maybe (again) operator error. Really nice unit ... has 8 HDMI inputs (+1 up front). Initially we thought it might be the Onkyo HDMI board problem, but 99% sure the board is fine Just tired of fu**ing with it Maybe the next person will have more luck Comes with remote and power cord. Sorry; no clue where the mic is - will look for it Cheers, Emile
  16. Haha; only have ONE rear RB-75 hooked up ... still have to change all connectors Then it will probably die again
  17. Onk has a mind of its own After spending the last 2 days trying to get the surround speaker outputs to work - without success - it just came on when I tried my Roku HDMI input ... WHAT THE HELL OK; switched to Oppo HDMI and it is still working ... GO FIGURE
  18. Haha; found them on Reverb; part of a bigger lot. Stole them right from under you He still has RS-7's left ... https://reverb.com/item/56135832-klipsch-r-s7-bookshelf-surround-speakers-black
  19. Source is 6 different HDMI inputs - DVD, CD, Roku, etc. Yes; all HDMI. Will try an optical cable next
  20. Actually not that critical ... had K-510's (90x30??) turned vertical and no problem Used to have Heresies as L/C/R ... switched to RC-7's as L/R and actually think it is an improvement
  21. Don't know about the RP models, but I am using RC-7's as L/R and they work great (Have them horizontal.)
  22. Latest firmware installed; no change
