Hi All,
So after experiencing what the minidsp could do, I went ahead and pulled the trigger and purchased a Xilica XP4080, which finally arrived today and with Chris A's help I'm already starting to dial in the unit,
I will report back hopefully soon on the differences if any, and thanks to Chris and Dave A for the recommendation, I'm sure I will appreciate the upgrade
Cheers

I would just like to say a very special thank you to Chris A for helping on a journey that has produced the most incredible sound from my Klipsch La Scala II's, the man is a true gentleman and has the patience of a Saint
I was very nervous about disconnecting my drivers from the crossover and had apprehension regarding dialing in the Minidsp 10x10hd, I had previously tried Dirac live and was not impressed by the change
However having the offer from Chris A to help dial everything in and accurately time aligne and set all output channels and EQ settings was a blessing
Without his knowledge I would never ever have taken the route of active crossovers
Chris, thank you again your knowledge and help will never be forgotten you have helped me taken my listening pleasure to a complete new level of clarity and emotion

Hi Gents,
Just wanted to ask if anyone has the crossover settings for active digital crossovers settings for Klipsch La Scala II's , I have rencenty acquired a mini dsp 10x10hd and have connected all the drivers and all is good, Chris A has helped me get into this and so far I'm very happy with the potential I'm hearing
I'm currently awaiting delivery of UMIK-1 and will then take measurements via REW and Chris A has very generously offered to help with all the settings however as I'm awaiting delivery I currently don't have any music and the weekend is here and need my tunes
So Just wanted to ask if anyone has the crossover settings for the Klipsch La Scala IIs when using an active crossover setup
Thanks in advance
And thanks again to Chris A for his amazing help and knowledge, you help is extremely appreciated

I am lol, as in the photo belowI’m surprised people aren’t all over the Prima Luna. Have read nothing but good about them.
Mine are PrimaLuna Dialogue HP Power Amps driving La Scala II's - Phenomenal in every single way, takes my breath away everytime I listen

I agree the Gold Lions seem alot more natural to me, and they dont have the fatiguing harshness that many other tubes seem to have, im really enjoying them and can see myself using these for a long long timeThanks Deano. After listening to the GL 12ax7 gold pins 30 plus hrs I rolled the Audcom original Chinese 12ax7's back in. Everything seemed louder. I listened though a few songs before deciding even thou they are very good, they are not as enjoyable to listen to as the Gold Lion's. I think the GL 12ax7 is a tab warmer making it easy on the ear. The two tubes are close, but the clear winner is the Gold Lion.
Im spending alot more time in the listening room now since installing the GL's so that tells me alot
Enjoy brother enjoy!

Your correct they are very smooth, at first my initial thought was they sound a little loose, but they definitely tighten up alot, and bass becomes realy nice,
I was using the 12au7 primaluna tubes and thought they were a little harsh on the top, the Gold Lions solved this issue and added a little more substance
They are very nice and im really happy with them

Dave the gold lions take about 20-30 hrs to fully open up and then it's a wow moment
You will love the lions [emoji6]

Im running my La Scala II's with primaluna dialogue amps, and the sound is the best I ever heard in 20 years
But i'm not biased lol
But try them all and find the one that you love and believe me you will know when its the right one [emoji6]
