    Good lord.

If you don’t think this is political and conspiratorial, I have some beachfront property in Kansas I’d like to show you.

  6. I’m genuinely sorry for your loss.

My opinion is based solely on factual data.

An N-95 mask has a filtration capability of .6 microns.

    The virus is .03 - .14 microns.

It’s simply a physical impossibility to stop it with a mask.

Please don’t misinterpret this as diminishing the loss of your loved one because that is not my intention.

    They were 94 years old.

This alone is an underlying condition.

Theres a difference between dying from something and dying with something.

    Peace

    -Maynard ,  you're correct ,

the current Moderna and Pfizer vaccines  may not  offer any protection against the newer Covid 19 Variants  , one must take all the precautions including isolation , I 've been using N95 masks  and Shields since the outbreak because I do a lot of work in the Field and even in Hospitals -

Putting on an N-95 mask to stop a virus is the equivalent of installing a cyclone fence to keep ants out of the yard.

    just sayin...

I have a pair of K-55-V mids, and a pair of K-73 tweeters I could be induced to part with.  I also have a pair of Heresy E crossovers that I redid to the Super Heresy specs, if you would be interested in them.

And just how much inducing would it take?🤔

@tony61, welcome looks like your Heresy are 1977... see thread Heritage Date Codes in 2-Channel section... R = 1977.

@dwilawyer can offer information re Klipsch official repair company.

Others use Bob Crites, see critesspeakers.com, Bob is a stand up guy who can offer diy fix up kits, replacement parts and service.

Are the tags in tact? If they are veneer be careful with sanding, you can go through the veneer. There are plenty of forum posts on refinishing if you do some searching, perhaps the woodwork folks will offer input. Some pictures will help.

    Thanks for the info.

    the tags are shot.

I had to rely on the stamp in the plywood for the serial numbers.

    The veneer worries me.

    We’ll see how it goes!

  10. The good:

I picked up a free pair of Heresys with sequential serial numbers.

If anyone can date these I’d appreciate it.

    49R846 and 49R847.

    The bad:

They’re the ugliest pair I’ve ever seen.

the cabinets are solid and the risers are good but, they’re painted a hideous crap brown and there may be a chip in the veneer on one of them.

I know both tweeters and one mid are blown.

I suppose I should have all the drivers and the type E crossovers inspected and/or repaired.

I’m refinishing the cabinets and the mid-horn but I’m not sure I have the technical prowess to re-do the internals.

My question is, who’s your go to for repairs?

     Thanks in advance!

Man I hope we don't get anything like that this year. I am at the doorstep of actually producing fruit on a couple of my banana plants and a decent winter will ensure that it will happen. So far so good I can tell you that!!

Tony what side of Cola are you? I lived in Irmo from 2000 to 2006

    I’m with you.

Not a big fan of the cold and snow.

I grew up in the lower Richland area but, I’m in Elgin now.

    Between Columbia and Camden.

Oh yea, started snowing as soon as I took a left on I-26 & was the only whiteout this southerner has ever driven through!

We got over 24” in ‘73.

power was out for over a week.

I hooked up a pair of Heresys to my radio in my Camaro and we rocked all the way through it!

That was a long ride on Christmas Eve once in the 90s coming home from FL after I turned on 26 it was a whiteout all the way to Columbia then snow all the way to Charlotte!

    I remember that snowstorm.

The local morning news forecast that day said a dusting.

    We got over 8”.

I was driving a delivery truck in Charleston that day.

An hour and a half trip turned into 8 hours.

    GLWYS

I fell into an offer I couldn’t refuse.

It’s been a good couple of weeks.
    First I picked up a complete 6.1 system consisting of 2 RF-35s, 2 RC-25s, 2 RS-25s and a RW-8 all in like new condition.
One of the centers is still factory sealed in the box.
    All for $50.
Just now picked up an absolutely mint condition RC-64 in the cherry finish for $200.
    Not too shabby!

  17. Ok, so I picked up an old Technics turntable at goodwill for 5 bucks and revived an old Technics receiver to power it...god I miss my vinyl!

The question is this. Is it ok to use the same speakers that I currently have on a 3.1 H/T and leave all the speaker wires connected to both receivers?

I have a Denon receiver and some ksf 10.5's for the H/T using bare wire and banana plugs for the 2 channel (obviously not both running at the same time).

    Just curious....
