  1. The Forte III will occupy all-but-the-same floor space as the Heresy but will get over those chairs extremely much better.  The bass is full and DEEP even at whisper-level volumes.  Depending on how you buy them (hint) the price can be inconsequentially different between the two models.  Call Cory and talk to him.  Google "Metropolis Lake Outfitters" for his phone number - he's very responsive.  Of course I'm only about 5 hours from him, but I ordered them on Monday and had the film-wrapped pallet in the back of a semi at a local factory parking lot Wednesday morning (I live on a dead-end street).  The driver even took the pallet to the factory's dumpster for me after helping get them into the back of my truck off of his lift gate.  This is the last time I'll say it here:  just order some new B-stock Forte IIIs from Cory - you will not have any regrets (and no need of a subwoofer).  Scout's honor.

  2. Sugar maple is the best all-around.  Easy to split (when forest-grown anyway), great heat/longevity, and next-to-no ash.

I always liked to have the wood split and stacked for at least six months prior to use for an indoor stove.  Green anything is okay (if not better) in an outdoor boiler, I guess.

When I was leaving work this morning https://radar.weather.gov/ridge/Conus/Loop/NatLoop.gif didn't reveal anything "all that" yet, and even now doesn't show much cause for concern.
