Do you have any size limitations? If you are looking to keep things small I can reccommend both the Carver Knight Shadow and the Earthquake MKIV12. I run these with my KLF 20's and the performance is outstanding. If size is a non-issue go for the RSW 15, the musical attributes will make you happy.

I am currently running a yamaha RXV 800 to power my HT, consisting of:Klipsch KLF20's , KLF C7 , KSP S6's,a Carver Knight Shadow sub and a Earthquake MKIV10. I am planning a purchase of a Carver c1000 to replace my Yamaha. Should I expect to hear a BIG improvment in both sound quality and increased SPL?

How about a bi-amp set-up? Any suggestion for a mid-range priced amp that kicks out hard bass?
-
I dont think its a polarity problem, I think its a mental health issue. I just want more clean, loud bass!!!!
-
Unfortunatley for me, I dont have any other placement options. Where they are is the only location they can be placed.

I already have an EQ in line. I currently use a Yamaha 1100u which does help, but I still dont get that hard punch I am looking for.

OK guys, I need your help. I am driving myself nuts trying to choose the correct sub for mi-bass punch. I am happy with the low end output from my Carver Knight Shadow, but it does lack above 50-60 htz. I have a pair of KLF 20's which I power with a Yamaha RXV-800. They just dont fill the gap and would really like something that hits clean and hard. I was considering the Earthquake MIV10 or two AR s108ps,as size is a factor or possibly a custom buid. I do not have any dealers of those specific subs close by and was hoping to get some input PLEASE. All reccommendations are helpful. Thanks

Is anyone here familiar with Earthquake? I am looking into both the MKIV12 and the MKIV10. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.By the way. I have an opportunity to pick up the 10 for about one third of the price of the 12 and was curious if the value pencils out.

As usual, THE EAR comes thru. One more question then. I am not sure of the original price, but I can pick this up for $450.00. What do you think?

Is anyone here familiar with the energy microsar 12.1 subwoofer? I have an opportunity to aquire one but dont know jack about them. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

It would be easier if I knew your budget parameters. But, I think the cheapest, with the ability to use all of the existing speakers, would be to purchase a pair of RF3's for the front(giving you a timbre match)and Move the KG 3.2's to the rear for the surrounds.

Can anyone tell me the difference between a Carver C1000 and a Carver C1000a? I know the C1000 has 6 speaker capability, but what else am I missing?

Upgrading to new receiver, best bang for buck? $1000 limit

I would go to EBAY and find a Carver C-1000A. They are going for around a grand and well worth it. -
There is one on EBAY right now, or try onecall.com. They used to carry them for a decent price.

What are the merits of Class G Amplification? How does it compare to, lets say, Class A Amplifiers?

Has anyone heard the Rockford Fosgate home audio powered subs(or should I say Fasgate Audionics)? I have seen a few advertised as of late, and I like the punch of the car audio amps and subs.Any info or reviewes would be appreciated.

OK, Ears, let me pick your brain. I currently run a Carver Knight Shadow sub which def. hits all the low end bass I need. If I were to purchase another sub to compliment the KS, but increase output and upper end bass slam, which would you reccomend? I have been considering a HSU VTF3, but I could def. use other ideas.(keeping the price under $1,000).

For the size room you are trying to fill, I would buy the Carver Knight Shadow. It is an amazing sub at only 11x11x11. The best part is, this can be purchased for about $600.00!!! Yes, Carver quality at an affordable price with true audiophile capability. Check out reviews at audioreview.com or ask the Ear.Trust me, you will be very happy.

After trying out several thousand placement locations, I setteled on the rear of the room. As bass is considered "non-directional" the only real consideration is how it sounds to YOU. If you are just curious as to any technical reasoning, dont be. Just trust your ears. Enjoy!!

Thanks for the response. Much appreciated!!! Just curious though, has anyone done a side by side with these two speakers?

We all know how difficult it is to find a pair of ksp s6 spakers,my question is: With the availability of rs 7's or even rs 3's would ther really be THAT MUCH of a auditory differnce when matched up with klf 20'2 and a klf-c7? In other words, is it worth the wait( or price )for a set of ksp's when ther are other options?
-
OK, that makes sense to me . So tell me, what is the correct bi-amp method?
-
I need some advice on the following: I am planning to bi-amp my KLF 20's using a Yamaha RV 800 and a Denon PMA 2000R. Which amp should I use to power the high -end, and which to drive the two 10 inch woofers?

I need some help here. I am using a pair of KLF 20's as my front speakers for HT set-up, and also as my main music 2 channel. My question is, I have a Yamaha rv800 and a Denon PMA 2000R to bi-amp my KLF's. Which do I use to drive the low end and which to power the high end?
