  1. Hey, I have a pair of Decware Zkit1's mated to some Cornwall 1's. I think the combo is wonderful. Amps bridged into mono are 5 watts ea or something. I NEVER turn the volume up past halfway and seldom even have the volume knobs to 9:00.
  2. I'm on the Decware waiting list for a pair of monoblocks. It's a good 4-6 month wait, so if this amp fits the bill, it's a great deal with no wait.
  3. Mine is custom road and mountain bikes I'm down to 3 bikes which isn't too bad compared to how I used to be. Let's not talk about parts hoarding. And I LOVE good bourbon!
  4. Mike has generously offered to come over this Saturday and we're going to open them up and see what I have. Whatever needs to be done immediately I'll get on order. I really appreciate all the tips. What a great place! What a bunch of nuts we are! We could have worse hobbies right?
  5. Wow! Thanks guys! I live in Longmont.
  6. Budman and Dave thank you so much. I'm going to try all this. I have 1985 Cornwall I's, apparently made just before the switch to II's.
  7. Nice! Thanks jimjimbo! I've known all along I would replace the crossovers, was just hoping it wouldn't be so soon. I will try what you suggest and see what happens.
  8. I actually did try swapping the speakers and there was "maybe" a marginal improvement. I'll probably end up opening up the one speaker after I move next month and see what I can see. I'm not equipped nor have the time to fix much of anything myself. I'm in the Denver area and believe there is a good speaker repair shop here.
  9. Hi all, New to this forum, had a few iterations of Klipsch's over the years. I recently purchased a pair of 1985 Cornwall's. Sounded great when I demo'd them and for the first couple of weeks I was in heaven. Now however as I listen more carefully, it's obvious one speaker is louder than the other. I think it's the midrange that sounds more subdued. I switched speaker cables around and no change. What say you? Is it new crossover time perhaps?
