[Can I put a heavy SS Mcintosh MC2100 on top of my forte?]

The 2100 is NOT a tube amp but a solid state one hence the idea to put it on top.

 

 

1) based on everything I read I think I'll put some buffer between the amp and the speaker. what would you suggest? glass? foam?

2) why do the speaker cables need to be in the same length? I was planning on having one that is 0.5m and the second around 5m. bad?

I think I found the perfect spot for new Mcintosh MC2100 amp and it's on top of my Forte I (see picture attached)?!?!?!?!

 

Is that a problem or risk for the speaker?

sound wise?

heat/temperature wise?

 

Any recommendation about the topic?

*Room -  big living room  15 x 20ft (4.6 x 6.0m)

* Setup - 2 Technics sl1200 and an e&s DJR400 mixer

*Music formats: mostly vinyl and from time to time streaming over an Audioengine B1 from the mixer

*Music type: Ambient, Jazz, Brazil, Disco and House (No rock or classic which seems to be on the paper the big plus of Klipsch
