  2. looking for a cheap headphone amp that's portable to take with my ipod on trips and such, and when I travel on the train in the morning any suggestions on where to look ?
  3. ok so here is the deal, I set my soundcard up for digital only output I plug in the digital rca and bam I get sound now I am only getting sound out of the front two speakers and the sub is this because I have the bass manager on setting two would that have anything to do with it, also I trying plugging in my turntable into the aux1 input on the dd 5.1 and I get very faint sound or no sound at all ? could it be the rca connects on the turntable are bad(it is used) but i don't know it was working fine when I picked it up at the guys house I hope that clears things up sorry for any confusion as I am still learning how to optimize my setup

I have a technics mkII plugged into aux1 of my dd 5.1 receiver and evertime I switch to that channel on the reciver I receive sound, now I receive sound from dvd player the computer which are both on digital inputs one being optical one being coaxial I know the turntable is working properly and it shouldn't be because the turntable isn't grounded ? any suggestions thanks

I have a monster cable digital rca cable going into it and the guy at the record store said I need a digital mini mono or something like that and I can't seem to find one with a female rca on the other end :-X if its a custom cable I need any idea of where to get it from ?
  6. alright I got a dd 5.1 and I have a question I am using the toslink to connect to my dvd and what not and I have the speakers connected and they work great with it, but how do i still connect it to my sound card ? I also have the digital coax cable too, I have a sb live 5.1 mp3+ I am pretty sure it has digital out but I don't see anything on the back of the card for digital coax or toslink even ? any suggestions ? hmmm supposedly I need a mini-jack to umm din connection weird This message has been edited by hkellogg on 05-26-2002 at 08:35 PM

  8. does it work ? I just ordered one and was wondering how well it works with this set, I know it has a 4 speaker function but I thought it might only be for the 4.1s but my control pod is off a 4.1 set so I assume it will work just fine but I am still curious
