I’m looking to buy my first amp. For set-up I run Forte III, RC-64 III and duel SVS 3000. I am about 50/50 music, movies. But i really want my system to shine while watching movies. I've been looking at the a31. Is this my best choice or do you guys recommend something else? Thanks in advance.

The guy said it has been completely went thru and he has the receipts to prove it. Comes with original manual and extra tubes. He suggested I bring over my speakers also but I would really rather not as they are big and heavy not to mention the chance of them getting scratched up. I was hoping someone could give me some insight as if this would be a good fit for existing equipment. Thanks

I’m new to tube amps and need some guidance. I found a Harmon Kardon citation II at a decent price that I’d like to get. My question is I have Forte III’s ran by a Denon AVR- x3500h. Will this amp make a big difference or is my receiver a major weak link? Thanks in advance.

Need some guidance picking a older receiver. Will be hooked to Forte III’s. I found two in my area that look pretty good. Looking at eBay they seem like a fair asking price. This is where you guys come in. I know NOTHING about audio equipment. What would you recommend as far as price and selected receivers or keep looking? Thanks in advance. first is a Sansui Eight asking 425.00 next is a Pioneer sx-990 asking 150.00 Both prices are bottom dollar. I already asked. Both seem to be in equal condition.

Been Lurking for some time now. I had a lower end system that I bought about 13 years ago. And because of this forum I decided it’s time for a new system. I keep hearing (reading) all great things about the Forte III. Earlier this week I made a 6 hour round trip to listen and possibly buy some Forte III. After just a few minutes of listening I knew these were the ones. Even my wife was impressed and she usually doesn’t care about stuff like this. Then of course i had to get a new receiver so I decided on a Denon AVR X3500H (plenty of a receiver for me). This system will hopefully last me a very long time. Next will be a new tv. My tv is about 15 years old but we don’t watch enough tv to justify getting one any time soon. We have never had cable or satellite. We do occasionally rent a movie. We just have music as background noise 24/7. Anyways thanks to this forum for leading me in the right direction. I’m giving my old system to my son. He just got his first apartment and is very excited. 😜 Old system: Pioneer 5960, Synergy F2’s, RC52 and a couple of Klipsch 12”sub.
