Skeptics? We don't need no stinkn' SKEPTICS! Your Four States Weather Wizard called it two days ago, right down to the WHY using easily available information from the web. However, there's one more element. I learned about Four States Weather from Harold Taft, the worlds first TV weatherman who went on the air in 1949 (the year YFSR was born) and continued on Fort Worth Channel 5 for half a century. When computers came into being, he'd say "Here's what the computers have to say..." and, after that, he'd say "Now, here's whats REALLY going to happen!" He'd then use an outdoor camera to explain the cloud formations and what they meant. He had a 3 day forecast, but the 5 day was an "outlook" because he didn't believe it possible to accurately forecast 5 days. Here's to you, Harold!

I don't care either way, except for the "please remove me" post. It's Facebook, you can leave any group you're currently in.  No post needed.

You really should read the posts whether here or over there before responding. I  replied over there that as admin of 6 FB pages and moderator here for 20 years (and then being drummed out without so  much as a kiss my foot) I know that. But like Miss Jane Pitman, Miss Rosa Parks, and many others I admire and strive to follow I don't get off the bus or leave the lunch counter without being respected. No real hippy would.

I guess to paraphrase him, if you're a cool cat, you're really going to be cool. If you're a jerk, you're going to still be a jerk.

Agreed. But a stoned jerk just sits quietly and drools. I can deal with that, stoned or straight.

  4. Sheesh, those guys are truly bigoted or really stoned. OK, not stoned as stoned people aren't bigoted...at least when they are stoned! Had no idea that even Klipsch had a fascist niche following.

  5. Not likely to have wrecks here. It's started with snow only which is easy to drive on unless you are a nutcase. Of course, plenty of those but  pretty easy to get out of their way.

  6. Expecting a foot or more of snow in Texarkana. It will definitely be a record. Nice to get your whole winter in only four days and it be a mess of snow! After that, it will be springtime. Camelot! I  love it  here.

  7. I was a member there, but never really visited. Shared a post there about the Vietnam film and Shawn Pitman, the admin, removed it. Seems the rest all agreed with him as well. I politely asked to be removed. We got enough hate and bigotry on our return to last a lifetime. Just wondered if anyone here was a member of that page and what is up with those guys.

Why does that look exactly like another one being offered on eBay, right down to the table covering?  If you do put it on eBay make sure you use your own pics or that would be misrepresentation bordering on fraud and probably piss-off the other seller too. Be careful, you could lose your eBay account.

Sheesh, man...don't get your panties into a wad. They all  look  alike and I am not going out to a cold garage to shoot a picture  of my personal one.

  9. This was my war. "It's a shitty little war, but the one they gave us." 100's of thousands of us were places we weren't. Today, the Thailand Laos Cambodia Brotherhood still allows us to talk amongst ourselves. We were soldiers, and we died. When when we caught our freedom bird home we were instructed to not wear our uniforms in public unless we wanted to be abused.

This is the story of 9 who died where I was stationed at Udorn Royal Thai Air Force Base, Thailand. The actual film will be far longer and much richer. It will be edited by Four States Production Director of Production Darren Mercer and will be premiered nationally.

  10. I gunna do that, but not today. Now 4 tinctures and it is time for adventure. First, find my foot. Then, search this vast house for my bed. Next, try to figure out why I am in my bedroom. No way I can get past that part.

I utilized broken 78's to do antique restoration.  You put the pieces in a mason jar, add some mineral spirits, and voila!  You have a topcoat varnish that will match old finishes.  You could also use it as a wipe down fluid for the antique varnishes that had become 'alligator skin', smoothing the original finish without needing to strip and re-spray.

Trust me. I  know what I  am doing. -"Sledge Hammer" 1980 something.

  12. Really not as good as the opium/sugar water cured Thai stick we got free from Air American during the war, but a great deal with a 25% off sale plus veterans discount. 45 bucks for 250ml.
