WOW Paul ...that´s flashing me right now 😉....one of the best analog tuners ever build ! Maybe you remove the 19" rack grips on the amplifier, that looks more homogeneous when the tuner is on top of the amplifier...imo ..

This weekend I'll leave the stereo off. The last 4 hours I spent with my wife and kids, we watched a 4 hour German TV show. Monday comes my HiFi friend , then we will make our " HiFi Workshop ". I had already reported a few days ago about it. Then I will still hear enough music with various amplifiers, CD players, streamers, DAC etc.. I am very much looking forward to this event next week.

HA ..you´re spinning again after a couple of weeks . Hamburg is about 4 hours car drive only, my doughter was there a couple of weeks ago to visit the famous " Elb Philharmonie " Concert Hall and ..of course ...Blues is an international language that everybody understands

Today we had a beautiful autumn day. I was out with the leaf blower, cleaned the rose beds. Then I have already received orders for speaker cables again. Yesterday I had cooked chicken soup , which was enough for 2 days. Now I have to listen to Tangerin Dream´s " Force Majeure " 1979 , it´s a clear cut record , excuse the bad condition from the cover , I bought this record in june, twentyseventh in 1980 so this record is almost 41 Years old. Sounds pretty good .......

It's bad enough when you're looking forward to a new amplifier and therefore eagerly waiting for it, but when the package deliverer delays the delivery again and again, you can get angry. At least I get pretty mad at such things.

No doubt that a PL doesn´t sound good, otherwise they were not so popular .

Even if you spend a lot of money on a tube amp, for cost reasons is first saved on the tubes, does not mean that the tubes used by the manufacturer do not sound good. Nevertheless, if you use NOS tubes you should hear sonic differences. I was also skeptical about the influence of the tubes on the sound and have found that NOS tubes from Siemens / Philips USA and RCA USA have brought my mono amplifiers sonically right forward. BUT .....you should basically only make a tuberolling when all tubes have several hundred hours of operation, only then can the tonal difference be heard out. Even the new tubes need a burn in again.

@Dave1291 You own a PL , does it have a pre out line ?

The PL must have a separate pre-out that can be connected to the Masterpiece power amplifier and the power amplifier of the PL must be able to be disconnected, then it can work.

Gonn´a have a " High End " Workshop next week. A friend of mine will visit me for 4 days and all we gonn´a do is testing audio equipment and listening to music , eating , drinking , 4 days non-stop . This meeting has been delayed for a couple of month because of covid. My friend is so keen to have a listen to the RF7 EvoTec , as he owns Forte III , CW IV, Thivan Horn Speakers( vietnamese products ) . He will bring the following audio equipment Lector Strumenti ( Italien ) ZOE Tube Pre Amplifier A Lector Strumenti Tube CD Player with external Power Supply A Dynavox integrated Tube Amp A DAC / Streamer from Cambridge and a Gold Note ( Italy ) Class D Power Amplifier in addition we got all of my own audio stuff to combine all those modules among each other . Don´t know whether I will survive this happening .....😂
