Selling a Creek OBH-10 Remote Volume Control.
This unit is designed to add a remote control for volume up, down and mute, for a system that does not come with remote. It connects between a pre amp and amp or through tape loops of receivers, integrated amps...
A great unit if you don't want to keep getting up to adjust the volume.
Comes with box, remote and power supply.
$300 shipped in the ConUS.

Rex Everything,
not sure where you're located but there are what appears to be 3- NIB NOS GE 7591As on Craigslist among a collection of "ham radio tubes" in Mercerville, NJ. The whole workman's caddy is listed for $100 so it could be a good deal. There are other stereo-related tubes in the photos. Mind you, you only see the boxes in the photos, but you never know.
Good Luck,
Darrell
Thanks for the "Heads Up" Darrell
I'm on the left coast so probably not going to work for me but hopefully someone who needs a few sees this.

I'm looking for some vintage production 7591 tubes. Looking for matched quads, pairs and would even consider singles.
I'm not looking for new production, ie...Tung-Sol, Electro Harmonix, JJ....
What do you have? Feel free to send pics, test results and info.
Thanks!

Selling a nice HH Scott Type 130 pre amp. A previous owner has done some work to the pre. The on/off/volume pot was replaced with an Alps volume pot and an on/off switch located at the back on top.
All functions work and the pre sounds nice. I did notice one can cap had oozed a bit so I purchased a full set of can caps from Hayseed Hamfest that will be included with the 130. It comes with the tubes that were in it when I received it. Nothing special as I remember (ie, no Teles or Mullards) but all work well.
Take a look at the pics and ask any questions you may have.

Forte Audio Model 3 stereo amp. The Model 3 was the last amps Nelson Pass was involved with while at Forte Audio. The amp is rated at 200wpc at 8 ohms and 400wpc at 4 ohms. Amp has no issues driving demanding speakers. The amp is fully functional and sounds excellent. It is used and has a few light marks.

6DJ8/6922 vs 6H30
Any experience or thoughts on the 6DJ8/6922 tube vs the 6H30 Super Tube in the BBX?
I've got the info to convert mine from 6922 to 6H30 and have been considering it but wanted some opinions from members here who may have experience with both.
TIA!

Thanks for letting me know. I don’t have access to that level to be able to assist unfortunately otherwise I would be happy to help out.
I have sent a PM to @Chad to ask him to take a peek over here to see what he can do.
Trav
Thank you!

Is there a better forum to ask this in or a different mod that should be contacted?

I've still not heard back from anyone. Looks like my message has not been read yet. Is there any other suggestions for folks to contact in this matter? I've messaged @Chad so far.
TIA!

Quick follow up: I replaced the nylon spacers with aluminum and upgraded and relocated the bridge rectifier per suggestion.
Ran it about 14 hours yeasterday and on a singing now. Thanks Mark!

Contact @Chad and see. What was your old SN?
I sent Chad a message several days ago but it's not been looked at yet.
Same as this one.

I was a member here for years but was admittedly absent for a bit. I came back only to find my account no longer here? Was there a big shake up or something? Is it possible to restore my old account?

6H30 Upgrade
The Merlin, BBX, and Peach have individually unique changes for 6H30. Because one of the PSU resistors needs to be changed to reduce plate voltage. Although the upgrade only involves a few parts, it can get tricky due to the many versions of each PCB.
The plate & cathode resistors change on that tube socket, and at least one PS resistor. But, to be sure it is right, you have to be able to use a DVM to check voltages, and you may need to "adjust" the size of the plate resistor to match the board version you have. Also, yuo may have to VISUALLY trace the plate load resistor trace on the PCB back to the PS to see which LC is feeding it.
Before anyone jumps into that, I will need to do some digging regarding the right voltages. I DON'T have a 6H30 unit here. My Peach is 6DJ8.
Cheers!
Mark
I can tell you mine has REV J printed on the board. Not sure if that helps.
I'll be waiting for your info as I've been interested in this swap from my BBX since you released the 6H30 version.

Absolutely love the color scheme on the face of these early BB's. A good friend had one years ago. The sound mostly but also those looks got me started looking at JM.
For Sale: Creek OBH-10 Remote Volume Control (add on)

From the manual:
OVERVIEW:
The function of the OBH-10 is to provide volume adjustment to your Hi-Fi system from your armchair, via infrared remote control. The unit consists of a passive volume potentiometer, with a motor connected to its control shaft and a two channel relay that can short the signal path to ground to mute it. A microprocessor control circuit can decode infra-red signals transmitted by a separate handset and translate them into commands that will activate the motorized potentiometer and muting relay. The OBH-10 is purely passive and does not introduce any gain or distortion into the signal path. It is therefore suitable to be inserted into the signal path of any piece of audio visual equipment with a suitable signal level.
INPUT AND OUTPUT CONNECTION:
The input and output connections are Phono (RCA) or Cinch type. These connections are suitable only for regular unbalanced signals (where the signal wire is normally shielded by an outer braid which is at ground potential). It can be connected to an integrated amplifier in the tape loop or between tape output and tape input (activated by selecting Tape monitor). It can also be fitted in the signal path between a preamplifier output and power amplifier input. The integrated amplifier or pre-amplifier's own volume control should then be pre-set to maximum to allow the OBH-10 to take full control of the volume. Alternatively, if the level is too high, set the amplifier's volume control to the maximum level you require and then only make level adjustments through the OBH-10's volume control. This will ensure a smoother range of adjustment. It is also possible to fit the OBH-10 between a source component, say a CD player output, and the amplifier's input, thereby remotely controlling only the source component's volume.
