XRT18

I did notice it's a 10 year-old thread and I hate bumping old threads but there is very little information out there on this particular speaker and I attempted to send the member a p.m. and I got a weird error message so I as a last resort posted in the thread.

I take it your using the 275's in mono for 150wpc, have you ever used just one 275 with the XRT18's? I ask because I have a MKIV 275 and just bought a pair of XRT18's that I should receive in the next week.

Would like to bi-amp my R-28f's with my MC-7205 for the lower end and my AES SE-1 (single ended triode tube amp) currently I have 2a3 tubes installed so 5w per channel, would I be better off installing 300b tubes for 7.5w/ch or will i notice much difference? Also my next upgrade will be the tube amp, whats the sweet spot for these tweeters when bi-amping as im considering tube amps producing 25, 40 and 75 watts per channel
