Ok, Side D with a nice purple center label featuring a digital clock with 12:00 on the display.  IMG-2213.jpg

Yessirree George! Dr John grows on ya. At least me anyhow.

Ended up in the Rs for the heavy headliner last evening:

with Henry, and D*mn he could captivate a crowd in a small <500 venue back in the 80s.

Talks a lot, but he could still befuddle every (incompetent) polit-bureau-*** out there today with logic and wit!

So Black Flag and RB? Could have just been a workout or release valve for him.

John, we can' t see Your video...

I don't get the obsession with bass. Then again I listened to music on an iMac for a decade. :D

I feel the current remastering fad of older recordings that increase the bass so much it ruins the tune for me. I liked (even loved a few) the songs the way they were delivered the first time. I'm sure some recordings weren't so good the first time and trying to fix the deficiencies is OK. However changing them to the point it takes a few measures for me to recognize them is just too much.

Oh, don´t get me wrong. If I wanted them to go realy deep, I would go the way Claude suggested (thanks by the way!). I was just surprised nothing changed at all, or so I think. As I said, it took half a year before I got the tweeters back and I´m not really shure how deep they went in the first place.

If I want Ooomph, I just switch to the RF3s and I get it. I know Bass isn´t the Heresys forte, I use them for the delicate stuff, Jazz, Classics and the like. I have the Klipsch SW bass-box in the other room and once I´m done with the TT I´m working on now, I will repair and re-veneer that. The SW will go with the Heresy then.

I´m 100% with You concerning remixing of old albums!

Saw this idea here on someones Heresys, I really like how it adds to the overall finish.

Had these glass plates cut, no more scratches on these! Lucky a school for glass-cutters is next to one of the buildings I work in.

  6. So the day before yesterday I finally got the note that my tweeters will be back here in the weekend... It only took HALF a year to get them re-magnetized... Well Iḿ happy I can finally put the Heresys back together. Most likely I won´t be able to notice any difference (If there ever was a noticable decrease in sound quality to start with.) in sound, because I last heard the speakers six months ago.

But they´re done then and will most likely outlast my humble self. 😇

From what I hear proper lubrication is key as the mechanism is complex
