Thank you @MeloManiac can't help but recognize his name and huge impact on movies for a long time. Was searching for "Chariots of Fire" a while back when I added the sub to my pc/stereo.

    Found this beautiful music there.

    RIP Vangelis

I only really know his Blade Runner OST and Chariots of Fire. It´s weekend, will search YT a bit later.

    Winner.

VF-102 (my squadron) took the picture with a camera system that mounts to the bottom of an F-14 where one of the missiles typically goes. I "tasked" the photo lab to make an enlargement spanning 3 11x14 prints. I spent the better part of my 12 hour shift cutting, sanding, lining up the three photos and gluing it up. Today it would just be a couple of mouse click. Given everything that went into that photo it probably cost the taxpayers 10 grand.

Just another fun day floating around the Med.

Me again, I´ve seen A4´s during my time in Texas. Seeinng how they are dwarfed by the F14 in that picture, what enormous plane the Tomcat must have been.

Big Brother  & the Holding Company w/Janis @ the wheel???  Gimme, gimme!

Cheap Thrills is the second studio album by American rock band Big Brother and the Holding Company. It was their last album with Janis Joplin as lead singer before she started a solo career. For Cheap Thrills, the band and producer John Simon incorporated recordings of crowd noise to give the impression of a live album, for which it was subsequently mistaken by listeners. Only "Ball and Chain" was actually recorded in concert at Winterland Ballroom.[1][2]

Cheap Thrills reached number one on the charts for eight nonconsecutive weeks in 1968.

"Dropout Boogie" by those dudes from Akron, Ohio is so typical of them.  Flat out ROCKS imo!  IF you've heard them before and have their "Delta Kream" lp  you KNOW what I'm talkin about.   :)

That´s funny! In the thread I see The Commodores in YouTube, here in the quote it´s the Black Keys.

Was about to say how much the Commodores remind me of my childhood, my old man was into Motown, The Commodores, Barry White & such.

Here is another band from Australia that has a similar sound signature

I’m sure you will like this band

    The bio of them is

Butterfly are a band who want to rock like it’s the 70’s, have a heavy metal party like it’s the 80’s, and write damned good songs like it’s the 60’s.

This one´s on my buy list as well. I´d forgotten the name of the group. Recycling this thread brought me back to it.

  9. I always liked Genesis, since I started listening to music more "seriously" again ( coinciding about with joining here...) and also the early stuff, the Gabriel period. I have a lot of their albums, these compilations, are they for collectors who want everything, or are there tracks here, one will not see on the regular LPs/ CDs. Most of the CDs in my collection are the ones with additional tracks on them... These are not so expensive on Discogs, even Mint can be had...

Your flat-screen seems lost, with those Jubilees in the neighborhood... 😉

Funny, I love the shocked faces of the audience.

Nice detail: The torn bow strings of one of the mad fiddlers. 😉
