  1. B&W, Tekton, GoldenEar, Tannoy, Harbeth. Decoupling with spikes made a pretty big difference in most cases.
  2. I'm thinking about drilling in some threaded inserts for spikes on my CWIVs. With other speakers I've had decoupling the speakers really helped clean up the bass and improve the imaging. Anyone try this? I think the base is particle board...a little worried about it splitting.
  3. You have a very live room. I would recommend some room treatments starting with a good rug. Horns are very sensitive to amps, cables, etc. You may just have a bright sounding amp or cables. The imbalance due to the room or equipment may make it appear you are not getting enough bass. Good luck.
  4. Are the feet on the CWs screwed in? Are there threaded inserts? Thinking about replacing with spikes.
  5. I sit about 10' back with another 8' feet behind me.
  6. Here's a pic of the room. Not much wiggle room but can move them back against the wall and also change the toe in.
  7. Just received the Cornwall IVs and have a 14' x 21' dedicated room that doubles as a home theater. I placed the speakers on the short wall, a few inches off the side wall and and a couple of feet off the front wall. I know it's room dependent, but would be interested in others experiences of how to best position these in the room. Will be experimenting, but wanted to hear what others found to be best.
  8. I'm using an EVO 300 Integrated and it's a great match with the CWs. I use a Lumin Mini Streamer with an external power supply and it sound fantastic. I would recommend a standalone DAC.
