  1. Just hit the Side D T! - Giselle and went WHOA... SWEET!
  2. Yea, me too Paul. Me knows what Mikey likes but... expansion can be a good thing if ya find something intriguing ya like. Then I sit back and watch and nose a bit. If I see 4 copies of anything left when it drops I'm pretty much on it. I KNEW Skunk would go quick and it did.
  3. No pretzels for you that are new for ya around here... Yea, knew the Aja red was new and knew you had the older ones. Skunk is sold out too. Slow, melodic, clean with stellar fretwork. I'm into side 3 and it's relaxing and professional in every way. It's tight and I don't resent getting it at all. His heritage speaks for itself. 4 coming up after a couple more. Maybe not you though. Check youtube. Skunk Baxter - Speed of Light
  4. Gonna throw on 3 & 4 just for giggles.
  5. Ya got some real good ones now that I looked again a bit slower. The quads are great, ya got the black cow so it's a nice lil haul. I just picked up Jeff "Skunk" Baxter's first solo lp that's not too bad since you like Steely Dan. 1 & 2 are ok but I've yet to jump into 3 & 4. His twist to some of the old stand by tunes, some of the Dan's tunes so 3 & 4 are coming up prolly tomorrow. Skunk's been a good solid all around contributor to so many great groups. Doobies, Steely Dan, Spirit and I think designed Jimi's flipped strat or had something to do with it. Quiet, but can just shred you and have you laffin in no time. He's payed his debt to society. Might be a good keeper since it's his first. Just my thoughts.
  6. Mike you know what you like. I just kinda know even though I've seen so much of your stuff. There are always a lot, ya just have to finger it out. Nice selection there but I don't know the business or how they grade. I did see one that jumped out even though I know you don't like Floyd. That Division Bell remaster showing is one amazeballs LP. I waited for years to see it in vinyl after seeing the show about 4 times. lol I might have another sealed one but can't remember. It's good though. Reaaaal good. It's only money right? 😂
  7. Ding, dong the witch is dead... The landscapers are done and gone. Been spinnin allll afternoon. Golden Earring was a Dutch rock band, founded in 1961 in The Hague as The Golden Earrings. They achieved worldwide fame with their international hit songs "Radar Love" in 1973, which went to number one on the Dutch charts, reached the top ten in the United Kingdom, and went to number thirteen on the United States charts,[1][2] "Twilight Zone" in 1982, and "When the Lady Smiles" in 1984.[1] During their career they had nearly 30 top-ten singles on the Dutch charts and released 25 studio albums.
  8. Got a nice selection right there @dirtmudd!
  9. Hence, Eight Skate & Donate! 😂
  10. Callin it a night U2... Play nice!
  11. Imma movin slow but movin! lol
  12. No WAY am I touching that collage. hahahaha
  13. Thanks for that @Full Range. LOL Too much going on here. 'If you're talking about that "Pierce piece" I just watched he is right on many things. Alll the bends, his light touch, his command of the Strat, His pedals and influence by others was all part of his package. Trailing off in places all complimented his style. He was one very creative person who rarely stopped trying to put things together to make them "fit" with a twist of his own like others. Blues, rock, whatever he put together just happened to FIT that point in time imo. The kids? We were ready for a change. Factor in all the other great 60's groups it was totally different and just resonated with so many. A powerful power trio it was too. Mitch on drums and Noel on bass? Few artists really cared if someone lifted this or that if it was used creatively in their work. As time went by many surfaced after but there were many great players before and during his time too. The British invasion was over for the most part and the West coast influence was catchin on. The British super groups and those splits of this group and that group? Drugs, the death of so many great artists, just a living on the edge kinda thing worked for so many. In today's world he prolly wouldn't have been so famous. Then? An answer to the problems of the world for many here in the US. Not to mention the political aspects and Viet Nam back then. Today?
  14. Garcia? Sure, why not? Garcia is Grateful Dead guitarist Jerry Garcia's first solo album, released in 1972.[1][4] Warner Bros. Records offered the Grateful Dead the opportunity to cut their own solo records, and Garcia was released around the same time as Bob Weir's Ace and Mickey Hart's Rolling Thunder. Unlike Ace, which was practically a Grateful Dead album, Garcia was more of a solo effort, as Garcia played almost all the instrumental parts. Six tracks (specifically those coauthored by lyricist Robert Hunter) eventually became standards in the Grateful Dead concert repertoire.
  15. Im thinkin you're onto something there Mossy!
  16. Two double cheeseburgers and a regular hamburger between two guys. Not to mention the other stuff. Day 2 complete and finishing up tomorrow thank goodness. About 3 loads of out-going unwanted stuff and two full loads of stone coming in total. They FINALLY asked if they could back up in the yard instead of using wheel barrels. Dropped the remainder under a big tree and just raked it out. Tomorrow will be wheel barrels again. No other way. Looking better every day! 3 neighbors stopped nosin so far. The rest are just gawkin as they drive by. hahaha Funny. It should look great until I get the leaves again this fall from the dude across the street. lol Around here there are herd's of deer just grazin on peoples stuff in their back yards. Hope they're done tomorrow and outta here. THEN I'm takin a well deserved break!
  17. Got a nibble from him... "Is that Jerry Garcia cause it sounds like him." Hmmmm, maybe there is hope yet.
  18. Hmmmm, one was talking about the Grateful Dead so that's a plus! Now to narrow that down a bit.
  19. Typical, not a word... They did know this guy though. Maybe there's hope... 😂
  20. Music to straw boss the landscapers by... Maybe, just maybe, they'll ask who it was. lol
  21. Landscapers rolled in yesterday so I've been straw bossin and making sure I'm getting my money's worth. 😂 Should look stellar when they're done. Woman that runs the place was listening so we're splitting a lot of the older huge stuff and relocating it instead of buying new. It doesn't save ya much but every 10-15 you can save helps I guess. So far so good. Maybe they'll be outta here today since "Moose" is finishing up another job and rolling in later. Don't know where she found this guy but he wa pickin up 150# rocks and carrying them around like nothing. He did use my big two-wheeled cart for a couple. Work smarter not harder hasn't set in yet. No BGE but firing up the Weber for lunch. 1O burgers enough? Throw it down w/some cottage cheese, tomato and chips. Gonna make Bobby Flay look like a Mama's boy. No cats or dogs to get in the way just a bunch of tight neighbors driving by nosin and gawkin. Guess I gotta show 'em how to do everything here in the hood. 😂 Might be done today but I sure was beat up last night. Straw bossin is a rough job! 😂 It'll sort but my wallet will be lighter. Just speaker money right???
  22. Day 2 of landscaping. Sucks to be me!
  23. It's the fedora don't kid yourself. 😂
