Next time ur at the golf tournament in Phoenix wearing that sarong slip up to the 16th hole. Just tell em you want to talk to that beautiful girl who runs the hole cause you have a msg from her dad. THAT should start the controversy! Before you left though you both would be laffin your rears off. You could make some cash when she markets your sarong to the PGA. 16th is the locals hole every day and it's insanity for a week with the fans and the players. She's there for a reason. Think mini me and gorgeous. hahaaha You got that right. All you could do is ride it out. The fact you walked away from it really is amazing.

Getting caught up reading in here is always a trip but MUSTARD? I'd have to try it before I packed up my gear. Hard to quit the Heineken after 50 years. Sounds good though. Maybe just maybe. I never played much of my 60's and 70's lp's cause I had the 45's. A pita but I loved playing them and listening. Some of my stuff is a bit nasty but very little actually. That VPI works fine for me. The ultra sound with the neo magnets didn't play well w/my pacer. Don't need that goin on too. lol Thinkin outta the past now and I just played this one last night for the first time. Think I had this on cassette years ago. Johnny Dawson Winter & the Progressive Blues Experiment. Yup, he can shred!

Time to get back to work! Into the handy-dandy "Indie-Exclusive" pile last nite and went with this just for a listen. Basic warm up to catch ya on side 1, cold side 2, warmin ya up for the kill on side 3 and 4 knockin it outta the park. Knopfler always shines w/the Straits but the nice twist on this one is the Bob Ludwig mastering with the cut by Bernie Grundman. "Portobella Belle" is a nice cut though. It's good and does the job imo but a $45 price tag? If ya don't have much Dire Straits then maybe. I shoulda watched me thinks. Been there? 😂

Everyone was young back in the day. The thing was, he KNEW how good he was as did Jimmy Page. EC was right there with them it was just a thing I picked up on. Beck and the majority of the artists ALL know they're good it's their presentation, following and just all of it Jeff was fantastic and will always have that. One of the best ever.

I'd have to agree with you on that. Met him w/EC and Jimmy Page in 67 when they were doing a Yardbirds show. He and Page were allll excited cause they'd been teasing some girls all nite and they wanted autographs. We gravitated to EC cause he was on his way out of the band again. and packing up. Funny watching Page & Beck make fools of themselves all excited cause they were creating a following while EC stood by himself. Amazed they were still friends after that.

@Mossy bottomMet him in 67 when he was playing for the Yardbirds and have rarely missed a show since. Had two to his stop in Cincy in October and couldn't make it. Sucked big time and now this? Just crazy. He bent those strings and took it to another level from the beginning. Never took a prisoner. You always left dragging your jaw about something he pulled off.
