I will not shop there any more. Worst customer service ever.

Their delivery service is a disaster now also and they will not even answer their phone.

    I listen to local FM.

The only local station that comes in clearly is one I don't care for at all. And the other local station that I used to enjoy in my car has gone to crap. Nashville may be Music City, but their radio leaves a lot to be desired...

My Bluesound Node 3 offers TuneIn. I haven't used it much, yet, but plan to start exploring. I live in central Iowa and radio here is pretty much a wasteland.

I hope this thread takes off so I can get suggestions of stations to try.

I've tried listening to the stations on TuneIn and seem to have problems with stream interruptions. Not sure if it's TuneIn or something in my system, but I have better luck with direct stream.

  4. Yeah, this is an old, old thread. But I've become a fan of https://coloradosound.org/  Enough that I support them to the tune of a few bucks a month. I'll listen when driving or working in the shop when highest sound quality doesn't matter. No commercial BS and such a wide range of music that I find new stuff I like regularly. Your mileage may vary, of course, but people that stop by and hang out always take note of it.  This is the streaming media player for PC that I use in my shop:  https://player.streamguys.com/kjac/sgplayer/player.php

Also, the Bring to a Boil and Cover weekday segment with the original and a cover is usually very interesting as is the weekly Music History 101 program.

I was asked what paint I used and figuring others might be interested here is a picture. Seems to provide a pretty durable cover. Remember cleanliness is king and make sure you clean your surfaces and rough up with scotchbrite.

Used this to do my K400s yesterday. I'm pleased with the results.20211130_164110.thumb.jpg.dcc7fd966b7dd51743fdef94ea45535c.jpg

    Already?? They look nice, congrats!

Haha, thanks! I'd been wanting to get my hands on some 301s, just based on how closely folks seem to hold them. Dave's only an hour and a half away and I knew since he had them, everything would be checked, recapped and would have the fantastic tweets. Besides, there's always something cool to listen to and see there and it's fun to chat with Dave. I've just now gotten them home and running and they're pretty amazing. I've got LSI's out in my shop and these are definitely in the same ball park. Dave even threw in a couple of Klipsch Pro emblems and I'll probably end up trying to fab some grills.

  8. I had agreed to purchase from the seller and had sent him half the money to hold until I picked up this Tuesday. He called me tonight with a case of seller's remorse and has decided to keep the set. He sent my half payment back this evening. I asked him to keep my info and let me know when he decides to let them go.
