O.K., now the hardest part will be finding a retailer that carries the Knight Shadow, no such luck thus-far. I may has well get that Klipsch LF-10.... (long emotional sigh).

I can get it for $499, is it worth the money? How do you think it would stack up against a Velodyne SPL800 or a Carver Knight Shadow, or Sunfire Super Jr.? (Assuming that you've heard any of these subs before)

What's your take on the LF-10 Klipsch sub, I been thinking about getting one for the past month or so now.
-
Can anyone tell me where to buy this particular sub on-line?
-
Actually I had been considering the SPL1000, or mabye even the SPL1200, but I didn't know if it would be overkill for my RF3's. Ears please respond.

Can anyone give me feedback on the Velodyne SPL800 sub? How would this sub do in a HT set-up? How would it compliment 4 Klipsch RF3's and a RC3-II center?

I was contemplating on getting the Klipsch LF-10 subwoofer as a starter sub. Is it worth the money? I can get it for around $499, maybe a little less. Will it be okay for my system? Is it any comparison to any of the Velodyne subs or the Klipsch reference subs?

Thanx for that thorough explanation, now I have a pretty good idea of what kind of speakers I can use for my rear sound.
-
Can somebody help me out with this whole timbre matching thing? What is it? Does it have something to do with matching speaker brands, or speaker series or speaker sizes?
-
ARE THE SVS SUBS ALL THAT THEY ARE CRACKED UP TO BE? WILL DO THEY HAVE THE SAME DEPTH AND CLARITY AS THE VELODYNE SPL OR HGS? AND FINALLY COULD I GET THAT VELODYNE-LIKE SOUND FROM SVS? HOW ABOUT FOR LESS THAN $750.00? (I KNOW THAT'S PUSHING IT, BUT HEY I'M ON A BUDGET.)

I have a question about rear speaker placement... I wanted to put either A) a pair of Klipsch ksf 8.5 in the rear, a pair of Klipsch ksf 6.5, or C) Klipsch rf3 (to match the front pair). Which set should I go with? And since my sofa sits directly with the back against the rear wall how should I place the speakers? (Some visual examples would be very helpful and extremely appreciated)

Do carpeet spike really make a difference in sound?
PHIL O replied to PHIL O's topic in General Klipsch Info
Would i need to order the spikes from klipsch? or can i get them from circuit city or best buy? or some other ht store? ------------------ *HT BEGINNER* DENON AVR-3802 KLIPSCH RC-3II KLIPSCH RF3 -
I have a pair of Klipsch rf3's and I wanted to know would it be necessary to put a set of spikes on them, and will I notice a difference in the sound? ------------------ *HT BEGINNER* DENON AVR-3802 KLIPSCH RC-3II KLIPSCH RF3

NOW THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE WILL BE FINDING ANOTHER PAIR OF THE RF3'S------------------ *HT BEGINNER* DENON AVR-3802 KLIPSCH RC-3II KLIPSCH RF3

MAYBE YOU CAN HELP ME... HERE ARE MY PREVIOUS QUESTIONS... I am adding on to my ht package piece by piece, i have a denon avr-3802, a klipsch rc-3ii center channel, and a pair of klipsch rf3 floorstanding speakers. in my situation i have my sofa placed against my wall and only can go with a 5.1 set-up since i'm in an apartment. now i was thinking that if i got two floorstanding speakers and turned them in at an angle towards the listeners ears that would be perfect but as i was sitting in the couch the other day i realized that the couch may block a lot of the sound from reaching the listeners ears. being that i'm not going with a sub (hence the apartment situation once again) i wanted all four floorstanding to accommodate for the lack of a sub. so should i just say "screw-it and get two floorstanding speakers in the rear or play it safe and put two bookshelf speakers on stands? I was thinking of going with a pair of klipsch ksf 8.5. I know these are entry level speakers but I figure it won't hurt anything since they'll only be playing the rear sound. ------------------ *HT BEGINNER* DENON AVR-3802 KLIPSCH RC-3II KLIPSCH RF3

Is the klipsch line of lf series subs all that they appear to be, on the outside they appear to be 3 beasts trying to get out of a little cage. do they hold up to this beast appearance in sound quality and actual bass output. and can they hold a candle to any of the velodyne subs (preferrably the spl or the hgs series) or any of the svs subs? ------------------ *HT BEGINNER* DENON AVR-3802 KLIPSCH RC-3II KLIPSCH RF3

I know that there is somebody else out there with an opinion on my dilemma. ------------------ *HT BEGINNER* DENON AVR-3802 KLIPSCH RC-3II KLIPSCH RF3

So basically what you're saying Justin is go ahead and get the floorstanding speakers and see what happens, but if the results are not what I wanted then go with the stands? I was thinking of going with a pair of klipsch ksf 8.5. I know these are entry level speakers but I figure it won't hurt anything since they'll only be playing the rear sound. ------------------ *HT BEGINNER* DENON AVR-3802 KLIPSCH RC-3II KLIPSCH RF3
