  1. That amp looks like my PS200, but never seen that model before. Is it not from stateside?  Very ballsy and dead quiet, would be a great matchup.

Those Khorns look like mine- walnut beautifulness!   Good luck with sale they seem fairly priced.

  2. Looks like great times with good people...

    Whats this?

I think that was going to be a module of a array system with 2x15", the KP510 horn, and the KPT-HF horn looks like to me. Not a proper 'line array' but a box Klipsch was designing (like that monstrosity with the 402 horn) for stadium type use.

  3.

Klipsch Pro Demo outside of Lab with KPT-1802-HLS

somebody name all these for us and what did you think of them?

The really sounded good, my favorite was the KI 396, that sub was great, it's a ported sub, ported into a horn, well that's a cool idea.

What we really need for pro and HT use is that 396 in a shallow rectangular box. No one is going to build an array of them anyway.

  4. Welcome me to the KPT904M club. Times 3.  Complimented with THX sub system and a three pack of KPT250 side surrounds... it's time to get a build plan for a basement theater this summer!

im sure bondo products will work, but in my experience bondo didnt last on wood as long as real wood fillers.  ive been doing auto body & mechanical for 20+ years & automotive type "bondo" products are best used for metal or fiberglass etc.

DAP & other brand wood filler is intended for far bigger "holes" or repairs than just screw holes, have used it on 1/2" deep & 2-3" wide repairs with great results.

but as with everything, each person has their own opinion & preference.  use what you want, just follow the products instructions.

Good point you've brought up. Bondo needs something to grab itself onto.. with the exception of something like a screw hole or real deep gouge. With it being used in an auto body repair the 80 grit sanding pattern is "grip " enough for the Bondo to adhere itself to. On a veneer repair where your only talking a 1/16"  it helps to first tap some small brads into the wood and below the surface for the Bondo to grab onto. A 1/2" brad with a head on it will work .  On large areas the more brads the merrier. They can be tapped in at an angle to provide extra grab.

I call ABSOLUTE BS on you!

WHAT?? I've always thought this would be of great help, especially when building up corners were concerned.

  6. And if you're a musician, and interested in joining us for the After Hours Electric Prog Jam, here's that link

There is an audition process as this is an official 'act' on the ship. It started at the piano bar on the inaugural voyage two years ago when it was discovered that several of our cruisers could play ELP, Genesis and Yes on piano. Last year we were given a small stage with back line equipment and Mini-moogs, Mellotrons, Kronos, Rickenbackers etc were brought on by members of our band -we stayed up until the wee hours nearly every morning and were frequently joined by our heros. Cool times!

  7. I wonder how close to the edge they get?

We get pretty damned close to the edge, it's palpable. Some of the world's biggest progressive rock fans come from Argentina, England, Australia, Germany you name it.. and the community is growing and very serious about their music. I've just recently been listening to Spock's Beard they have like 20 albums. Great opportunity to learn more about this genre of music. Join me on my Spotify list, I have a play list of probably 50 hours of all the bands that will be appearing on this upcoming cruise.

  8. Just a few snaps - Tangerine Dream, Steve Hackett (co-headliner with Yes), Chris Squire of Yes, Phil's son Simon Collins with his band Sound of Contact. Album cover artist Roger Dean give a painting demonstration in his on-board gallery. These are all from CTTE 2014

  9. Yes this will be my third CTTE trip. Great times and a lovely community of folks who really love their prog rock. AND we have a passenger stage for late nights with sign up for on-line rehearsals. Last year Geoff Downes, Chris Squire, Patrick Moraz, Mark Kelley, Nad Sylvan (from Steve Hackett's Genesis Revisited) all were hanging out with us late night - some of them joined in with our band!  Don't plan on much sleep, but if you come to Miami for the 5 day cruise, we're doing a back-2-back on a Carnival ship for the following 5 days so can get some R&R.

This is NOTSTOP Prog action folks!

Btw, I'll be on the Monsters of Rock in a couple of weeks, same organizers On the Blue - a fun team to hang out with! Top notch production as well!
