  1. Very good, played it last night for some friends. They thought it was "unbelievable." And considering it used to cost about 12 dollars its well worth the purchase price. They did a great job with the two surround channels, the foot steps and voices, bells, coins, everything is very enveloping.

  2. I think the Tweeter on one of my rf3II's may not be working. After doing a little comparative listening it definitely isn't doing anything :( It's definitely still in warranty, I just got it from tweeter less than a month ago, what should I do?

  3. Well I have Rf-3's and they are 8 ohm speakers. And they have no trouble putting out a ton of base, don't get me wrong, I love my svs, but I could do without and still be over joyed. Make sure you don't the crossover set so ridiculously high that they aren't getting any base. I use 60Hz on mine, I would like to go lower, but that's the lowest setting on my receiver.

  4. That depends on what is most important for you. For performance regardless of bulk i'd say Dell is where its at. But if you want good performance in a truly portable laptop the VAIO is the way to go.

Where I work we are currently using a whole mess of IBM thinkpads, 3 have broken sound cards, one's display stopped working and on the whole IBM tech support is lacking in support.

So those would be my choices.

  5. Windows XP also has that nasty firewall that is enabled by default. Turning that off should help. You have windows XP pro right? The home version has very limited networking capabilities, not sure that is the problem but it could crop up in the future, especially if you ever need to use a cisco VPN client.
