  1. You know, I have been wondering how much better those superbit DVD's actually are. I recently picked up the non-superbit 5th Element DVD because I did not want to spend the extra 10 dollars for the superbit. I just didnt beleive in that improved audio and video proclamations.
  2. Hello all I am thinking of buying the Quintet with the KSW-10 also. I am also intrested in the Synergy System 6. If anyone can point me to a store that has a good deal on either of these please point it out to me. And also, what is the difference between the Quintet and the Quintet II? Thanks for anyhelp!
  3. Cons: 1) The presence of the bass isnt as much as what I thought, but it is still good. I have the receiver set to +4 to bass and the control pod to 15. Ill kick it to +6 if I still think the bass still isnt good enough. 2) Adding a PC to a Home Theater is Super Complicated! PC should definately raise its standards and make all things DD, ProLogicII, etc.., compatible. 3) If I have the PC and PS2 on, the sound is Drained Big Time. Ill have to unplug the audio calbes on the back of the Soundcard (or back of ProMedias) to get full power to PS2, Or turn off the PS2 to get full power to the PC. So I must sacrifice sound for one of the 2. There is a solution though! I can use headphones. I would take out the audio cable that connects to the "Front Out" of the Soundcard and put the headphones in it. Then I would tell the PC that I have Headphones. So when I play PC games, someone else could play or watch stuff on PS2 with full surround. Question: 1) When the PC is hooked up to the Receiver, I need to "assign" the PC to either DVD,CD,CDR,or VCR. Which one of these should I assign the PC to? COMING SOON: The 'Mini to RCA' wire which will enable me to hook my PC upto the receiver New Video Card with TVout So My TV can become the Monitor for the PC A shared DirecTV connection with my brothers TV! Component Cables for PS2 and TV! THANKS TO: Justin_tx_16, Trespasser_Guy, and VampireHD
  4. I got the Pioneer VSX-D118S receiver, I hooked everything up (except for PC), and its rocking! Heres what I got connected to the Receiver: -PS2 (Watch DVD's, Play PS2 Games, play CD's) -20" flat TV (Visuals on PS2, TV) -ProMedia 5.1 (needs no intro) -*PC (PC Games, MP3's, play CD's)(waiting on the Mini-RCA wire) Heres the wires/adapters that I had to use: -For the PS2 to Receiver. (1) Optical Cable (1) plain-jane video wire (the yellow RCA)(no need to hook up the Red and white RCA's) -For the TV to Receiver. (1) plain-jane video wire -For the back of the ProMedia sub. (3) Y-adapters -For the Receiver to the back of the ProMedia sub. (3) 1/8" stereo to RCA cables -For the PC to back of ProMedia sub. (3) Audio Cables -For the PC to Receiver. (1) Mini Male to RCA Male Cable (still wating!) Pros: 1) With my setup, I am able to use the PC and have the TV on, But there is one problem, Read #3 on the cons. 2) The sound Quality is truely AWESOME! 3) Ill be able to play games that support DD in the future! 4) I can upgrade to better speakers (Continued)
  5. I see, thanks Goose. I might have misinterpreted what justin said I guess. Do you think Klipsch might actually add Pro Logic II on the dd-5.1?
  6. So StereoX2 wont have the the right channel playing something else then the left channel? But Prologic and ProLogic II will? Thats what im assuming. Please correct me if im wrong.
  7. Nice VampireHD. That should solve the problem for playing EAX games on PC!
