  1. Just looked at your home theater, how wide is your screen.
  2. Yes they have water stains. I tried to take pictures of the tops but really couldnt get a fair picture of how they look. Either you coundnt see it or they looked worse then they are, Poorlighting in basement or trying to use flash was issue. I have a cabinet maker who rents my back garage. He says to properly repair oak veneer there is a wood bleach product that is used that will take out stain then refinish with oil or whatever you want. I never had it done as it really never bothered me that much. The other side is in fine shape, same condition as one pictured.
  3. Chorus II's for sale. Were at on time used as plantstand. Also kg5.2 for sale. Looking to get fair price for each.
  4. I have these Chorus II's for sale in Chicago suburbs. Make me a decent offer. The tops do have marks from plant pot (not pot plant) otherwise excellent original condition. Also selling a pair of KG5.2's.
  5. I have a pair of oak oil Chorus II,s slight plant stand stain on each. Very minor, otherwise excellent original condition. Also kg5.2's, the cabinets are clear oak, cabinets are 8/10 great speakers. The going rate seems to be somewhere betweeen $750.00- 800.00 for the chorus and $250.00-300.00 for the 5.2's. Interested please leave message. I will get some pictures posted as soon as I figure that all out.
  6. Just looked at kg5.2 cabinets and they are probably way better than original post would indicate. I would say 8/10 but you can see for yourself when I get pictures posted.
  7. I have a pair of oak oil Chorus II,s slight plant stand stain on each. Very minor, otherwise excellent original condition. Also kg5.2's, the cabinets are clear oak, not the best condition but otherwise great speakers. The going rate seems to be somewhere betweeen $750.00- 800.00 for the chorus and $250.00-300.00 for the 5.2's. Interested please leave message. 8. Thanks for the interest. Like I said, I just looked at what appears to be the going rate, $750.00- 800.00. I've seen them as high as $950.00 listed here as well as E-bay. In my estimation a bargain compared to what is on the market today anywhere near that price range. I also have a pair of kg 5.2's for sale that again seem to be selling in the 250.00- 300.00 range. Perhaphs these would be a better fit for you.
  9. I have a pair of Chorus II for sale. Interested please respond. They are Oak oil, both have evidence of once being used as plant stand. very minor. Other than that excellent condition.
  10. Someone recently posted sw-15 fpr sale. See add in powered subwoofers. Older klipsch model but you will be amazed.
  11. There is member selling a used sw-15. I have a version of this sub, and although it does not dig as deep as some built nowadays it is an incredible sub. Specs on website. I do not know of any experience others have had, but I assure you it will knock your socks off. I have sent amessage expressing interest but cant do it now so if he can sell to another forum user it's best for the both of you.
  12. Dan, I am interested, however would not be able to move on this for a few weeks. I am in Rolling meadows just west of Chicago. If you still have it I would definetly be interested. Have one ktsw-15 with my Chorus II's,one more would be excellent. If it's still around, please let me know. Thanks, Jim
  13. Have an opportunity to get one, have not heard yet, anyone using with Heritage series setup.
  14. Anyone familiar with this sub, have an opportunity to get one and wondering if anyone has heard. Will it keep up with my chorus II's.
  15. Anybody using one or have any input on how this sub sounds, compatibility with heritage line.
  16. They let me take it home and it appears the passive radiator is damaged, bad crackling/buzzing. The driver is fine. Took radiator out and it appears to have some sort of glue or plster on the back. May look into replacement driver because your right it does pound.
  17. Who knows any thing about the ktsw sub. Looking for actual experience or knowledge of it outside of the specs on the klipsch website. Presently have chorus II mains and 5.2 surrounds and am looking for a good match for movies and music. Local store has a used one but their listening room stinks. Help, any info would be great.
  18. Local store has a used one for sale. Their listening room stinks for all subs. Anybody have any info on this sub.
  19. Is it still available? Am in the suburbs and would be very intertested
  20. Yes, anything but the above kisted gear. Just because I believe those would probably be almost everyones top 3-4.
  21. Ok, forget about the khorns-LaScalas-Belles, what do you feel are the top 5 or 10 in order. Whats good and why.
  22. I have the Yamaha rx-v630 and it is a great performer. I think it has all the features one would want in a 6.1 receiver. I really think you will find much more difference in sound by the speakers you choose. I have in the last 6 months replaced my old speakers (polk audio) with the klipsch line, The difference is spectacular. The polks are fine speakers but they just need to much power to achieve the dynamic range the klipsch reach with their high sensitivity. music takes on a whole new dimension and movies just come alive. Its highly unlikely I will be stepping into a theater in the near future, Just cant compare.
  23. I thought it may be the case. Just got the kg series and think they sound great although quite different than the chorus II's. Any idea why so little is written about them on this forum.
  24. A few days ago I was watching The NIN dvd at a fairly healthy (unhealthy) volume. I accidentally switched off my dvd player and could hear faint voices coming through my speakers, chorus II mains and kg 5.2 rears powered by a Yamaha rx-v630 receiver. I switched over to my cable input on my tv and sure enough I was hearing the voices of the channel that was on. I didnt try turning off the cable tuner to see if that would solve it but I'm just wondering what could have caused this. Also any recomendations on Center channels. Is the academy the preferred choice for the front with the chorus II.As these are hard to find what else are people using with good results. As the Yamaha is a 6 channel reciever I also need something for the rear. I have thought about a pair of heresy's. Any thoughts.
  25. I dont pretend to have much knowledge about this subject but I do know hightone just cant crank his system at all. What part of your response is from the dope from hope articles. By the way hightone I had my first visit from our local Law Enforcement agency regarding the rumbling, although I imagine you may have heard it also. i just do not understand how a system never pushed to clipping blows speakers and mine just keeps on singin,
