  1. Softail as in Harley-Davidson Springer Softail. Potato-potato-potato......

I do like some comercials to find out about up and coming concerts and festivels and such. ---------------- I listen to Sirius all the time in my home through my Promedia's. I also listen in the garage and patio with my Sirius Boom Box and even take it out in my boat. Sirius music, sports (including the NFL, NBA, and NHL), talk, entertainment, and news is a must have. There are commercials on the Streams other than the music Streams (channels). The monthly fee is $12.95 unless you prepay for 12 months and then it averages about 10 bucks. With a subscription, free online listening to the music streams is available.
  3. Personally, the best decision I have made as far as music is subscribing to Sirius Satellite Radio. The SQ is just fine and much better than terrestrial radio. I have discovered music that I did not know existed and have broadened my musical taste. Every genre of music imaginable is available on the 60 plus music streams coupled with news, talk, local weather/traffic, sports and entertainment streams. Sirius music streams are available for trial on their web site, sirius.com.
  4. This is embarrassing, but I need some help. This is what I want: 1. Ability to listen to my Sirius online music. (Can do so now) ****AND**** 2. Ability to listen to my new Dish 921/ Samsung HLN617W DLP HDTV through the Promedia 5.1s. (Cannot do so now) 3. I need to know if this is possible and what I need to make it happen and how to do it. This is what I currently have: 1. The ProMedia 5.1s connected to my Soundblaster Live! Soundcard on my Dell 8250 (Readon 9700 video card without All in Wonder card. 2. The described TV and Satellite Receiver as above, 25' from the PC. 3. The Dish 921 is described at the following site: http://www.vssll.com/pvr921.html (OPTICAL DIGITAL AUDIO OUTPUT) 4. I can currently watch DVD's through the PC and use the ProMedia's but not satellite TV. 5. I have an older Kenwood receiver currently hooked up to the soon to be replaced Pioneer big screen. I am using Sony speakers (2) for sound.
  5. TV stereo is fine but already have that. Cube would be nice but not at the expense of giving up my PC music (for me). I have heard there are a couple PC games that support 5.1. I'm not knocking the DD but my expectations are apparently to high. IS there anyway to get 5.1 from my PC and gaming systems??
  6. Learned a lot from your site. Went out a got the mini plug to RCA adapter (that helped a lot). Rigged everything up as you suggested on your site. NOW I can get the TV to work at a very low volume (2 speakers) and the PC sound will not work at all except from the left front speaker. The sound test with the white sounds works perfectly. I can take the green cable and input in the various other inputs and get those speakers to work. When I try the same with the black or orange cable it will not work at all. My Promedia 5.1's worked great before I rigged the DD-5.1, so I know it is not the wiring of the speakers or the speakers themselves. I look forward to anyone's help. THANKS I just talked to Klipsch Tech Service and they informed me that the DD-5.1 will only give me the front channels while listening to music from the PC. I am not really sure what the decoder can do for me and my personal needs, I do not really need it to play PS2 as we are Ninetendo fans. Tech service said the main benefit for the PC would be gaming and everything I read says that is it's weakest point. Anyway the dd is on its way back to Klipsch unless someone can tell me how to configure this decoder for PC music, PC DVD playback and surround sound for the TV.
  7. I just received my Christmas present (a little late), the DD-5.1. I do not have the brains to configure this decoder without someone's help. How do I configure the DD-5.1 with my Soundblaster Live! 5.1 soundcard and my Promedia's 5.1 speaker system? I've read the manual and still cannot understand the wiring setup. What are the y connectors for and how do I get the decoder to communicate with the soundcard and/or the amp in the sub? Thanks
