This is indeed my setup too, but a different brand. But in my case, my tube amplifier picks up 'internet activity noise' and amplifies it somewhat, resulting somewhat in a 'dial-in modem' situation like we know from 25 years ago...

Sorry to hear that, there is the chance that I just got lucky ? All SS here so it could be part of the difference ? Or the first thing I said.

My only other option was to run a cable out there and I REALLY did not want to do that. I did order that powerline adapter through amazon since they gave a free return on it, just in case. I can't say I was not a little skeptical and then suprised when it worked so well and with no setup, just plug it in and go. The speakers would tell me if there was noise, they are split LaScala tops and MWM bottoms out in the shop and also ran Heresy's out in the yard tiki bar with the WIFI booster both with a laptop using HDMI if that made any difference ?

But over the years I have been very lucky with no static or hums and I am not organized with cables, just luck I guess.

Had a full week there and was able to knock out 74 passes which brings me to 327

Sounds like fun, 74 is alot, sounds like it to me.

Have only been as a spectator, you can see almost anything pass. A 18 wheeler sould be an automatic ticket, but they try to take a short cut without being cought, but could kill someone.

The dragon is a shortcut because that's how we first drove on it, it was directions from a local as the shortest way to get where we were going.  We had NO idea what we had got into, at the end we stopped and cought our breath, it was at night and if you have never and find it by accident you will never forget it.

Vegetable soup with cornbread is a meal I've had hundreds of times in my life, perfect match!

That cornbread you made sounded great.

  4. When you say Powerline Wifi Booster do you mean the type you plug in and it just repeats and extends the wifi ?

I used this one in the past (first pic) to reach a shop 80' from the house, it worked 80% of the time, because of distance.

    https://www.amazon.com/NETGEAR-Wi-Fi-Range-Extender-EX6120/dp/B014YN7LVE/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=wifi%2Bextender&qid=1637025251&sr=8-5&th=1

I just recently changed to a true powerline adapter (second pic) and it works great 100% signal all the time inside a metal building. It plugs into an outlet and a ethernet cable connects to your router. It puts the internet into your existing house wireing, another one is plugged into any other outlet and it also has an Ethernet cable to connect to another router or directly into a device and the signal is as good as connectiong into the first router.

    https://www.amazon.com/TP-Link-AV1000-Powerline-Ethernet-Adapter/dp/B08M13B8B6/ref=sr_1_3?_encoding=UTF8&c=ts&keywords=Powerline%2BComputer%2BNetwork%2BAdapters&qid=1637026199&s=pc&sr=1-3&ts_id=1194444&th=1

With either of these I had no noise at all, both are used for audio/stereo with some effecient speakers which well show any static or noise. The second setup I explained is going through a circuit with 3 other outdoor outlets and about 250' long, works great.

The first pic is the one that is just a booster.

Second is the one that useses the house wire and by far the best in my case anyway.

  5. Some vegetable soup, yes and some meat just because I like meat.

It's about 4-5 gallons and has been on since 11 am. Just added the raw meat so it will be ready in an hour or so ?

Glad to be home, even if was fun.

Got the HT room painted and trimmed, only floors left and room darkining curtains. Then it will be up to Chief Bonehead to set up the sound, hoping it will be a projector and screen depending on $.

Not earth shaking but I did climb my 24' ladder up to to three areas of the 1.5 story house to blow leaves and pine straw off.  Gutter guard does not help with straw!  Walking up and down valleys is getting a bit scary for this soon to be 73 year old but my errand boy was busy.

Not a good thing, at 73 you should not be up on the ladder that high anyway, or on the roof. No reason, there is nothing up there to get hurt over or kill yourself. Nothing up there is in that much of a rush to not wait on the errand boy, your old dude, don't end it all like that.

We appreciate all the volunteer work you do here on the forum and at the Klipsch Museum.

You're stuck brother we ALL know that!  Thing is we all know it and appreciate it more than you know.  Just reach down in your pocket along the seam and work some of that pocket lint out.  Make a lil ball and pray.  Some day it could happen.  Doubtful but maybe.  😂

Well thank you, I'm not complaning, and I would NOT want to get paid to do this I just joke about that, if we did get paid then I would have to actually do it, better anyway.

I mean we couldn't afford to use a silver spoon growing up ; pewter was a treat .

You missed out it's the way to go.  OK I have no idea about that stuff,  we just happen to have one silver one a little bigger than a tablespoon. There about 25 spoons and I doubt you could match 3, and a few different sizes, we don't do fancy.

BOOM!  Jubes at that price you deserve a raise.  High altitude flight pay or something.  Check your check this week. Might be a lil extra pocket lint in there.

They said they were going to triple our pay :emotion-21: so let's see, 3x 0 is :o

The good part if they let me go I lose nothing, and you think they would have done that by now.

The crazy part is we were out of town for 10 days years ago and I never look here when not home. Come to find out they took a poll and I was one of the ones picked, I was not told anything. I get back from vacation and sign in and see moderator by my name and freaked out sending messages up the chain, then I was told, not asked never was.

Still deciding if I want to accept this job, I figure if I suck enough doing it...wait nevermind there is NO list of volunteers, probably why they never asked. :emotion-55: But they are getting's there moneys worth.

  11. I had no idea it was rated well.

Also on the list of things I have no idea about is the Blue Plate we use, it is called heavy duty and does not need to be refrierated after opening. I have no idea why it is heavy duty or the refrigerated part.

I do know one thing NEVER leave a real Silver spoon by accident in a mayo jar. :emotion-41: It will be green in a couple days, chemical reaction or magic who knows ?

  12. Sorry I can't help with your question since I have not heard any of the Reference line of Klipsch.

But my first Klipsch was the SB3 with SS1 for rears and SC 1 for center for Home theater. Sounded good untill we added on and with a much bigger room it did not work out as good so went bigger.

Since you do like the sound of horns you should try bigger models maby floorstanders if possable. Good luck
