  1. Thank you for that Miketn, that helps since I have not had a chance to hear them YET.

I also liked what you said about the 1954 Klipschorn. I say this because Craig and I went and picked them up from the chirch who donated them to us and brought them to the Feild House. We had no idea what to expect or if they even worked but wanted to try them. Even with one tweeter out I sat there quite shocked at how they sounded. My first thought was that you could buy this kind of quality of sound in 1954, I had no idea it was going to be that good.

A difference from the newest model Klipschorn, sure of course, but considering 67 years of time in between it made me realize how everyone of the improvements along the way was a fight to improve a great original design.

Roy is a humble person and does not easily except how far he has advanced another one of PWK's ideas, but has made amazing improvements in many models.

It's true Roy, you deserve to be very proud of your work since when Mr Paul put some of the ideas in your head for you to work out.

He is smiling at you, you make him happy carrying on his dream further than he would have expected.

62 and never owned a TV. Not to say I haven't watched TV just too cheap to purchase one and then pay to use it. I occasionally check out stuff online but not a regular happening. $100+ monthly for something I haven't the time to devote to it is just out of the question.

Had a bunch ov tv's over the years replacing older ones.  Picture quality got better and they are now cheaper or the same price.

Myself I only watch a couple of shows when they come on which would be about 2 hours a week and football.

No TV?  HOW are you existing Bill???

    That's funny.

We cut the satellite last week, got hulu+ instead at less than half of what the sat cost. After checking to see if everything we watched was included including live sports we switched. Hulu is a little harder to get around on (still learning) and slightly less convenient but for about $64 and plus still saving that much over sat it's good.

Sat had a couple hundred channels we never watched but you had to have to get the few we wanted, they work it like that, well not for me anymore. Picture is just as good, from looks and acording to what resulition the tv say it is gitting.

  5. I will miss him, mostly in a good way, he would laugh at that.

We talked alot over the years, let me tell you what that nut did once. He wanted to go to Pilgrimage one year so instead of flying into somewhere close to Hope he flew into Gulfport airport a day early so he could ride with us. What :o are you crazy I asked, now you have a 7 hour drive each way extra. Then he forgot to mention or didn't realize you need to get to the airport an hour early to fly back home so he had to catch the next plane. We had a few hours to kill so we went to eat at a casino and drove around a little then went back to the airport.

We would tease him, Kevin Harmon who he loved would say your an odd cat Rodger, and he was, but he was doing much better over the last few years.

  6. Global Widlife center, you ride in trailers behind a tractor and animal's come to the trailers to eat.

Went with the youngest daughter, husband and the kids this past weekend. The smallest granddaughter did better than we expected, she got the hang of feeding the animals.

Second pic is with her dad.

I really like the sub and would love to avoid ditching it.

Welcome, sorry but i can't help with finding your problem.

But if you wanted to keep it you could use a outbard or stand alone amp, no reason to ditch the sub. A regular amp could be hooked up and just put the bad amp back in it's place so the cabinet space stays the same.

Probably so, we bought plenty of rocks, but not that big for sure.

Modern tech. Can be cool, until it isn't.

    That's the truth.

I was using a wifi repeater on the corner of the house in the direction of the shop.

Worked great until it decided not to, most of the time it was fine but some days not so much, for no apperant reason.

I really did not want to run a ethernet cable out there, and paying for another service out there was not going to happen.

For some applications, this technology can work well depending on distance, and can actually filter out unwanted noise in the line.

    Congrats!

I had no idea about this until I went looking at videos on getting internet to outbuildings and thought I would try it. Amazon had free returns on both so if it did not work it "should" be no problem returning.

It says it can go up to 1000' of wire, but I would guess the further you go the signal would get worse, just like the power of the electricity drops off dramitically with length of wire .

I had talked to a guy about this and he said years ago this technology was pretty rough at best. But the power companies got involved and refined how it and now it is what they now use to read meters, the numbers for your power usage goes right to the office. I would imagine they had a huge interest because cutting out meter readers probably saved millions.

I am just happy it worked, kind of always suprised when something works as advertised.

  11. OK I needed to get reliable wifi out in the shop so I tried something I had watched a video on. And it worked great.

It is called Powerline Ethernet and uses the powerlines in your house.

It is 2 small boxes, one plugs into an outlet and has a ethernet cable that plugs into your router, this sends internet into your power lines.

The second box is the same but you plug it into any outlet on the house wiring, it also has an ethernet wire to either wire directly or to another router.

I have a pump shed about 20' from the shop so I dug a trench and came off the pump shed extra outlet which is connected to the house and ran a wire into the shop and installed an outlet. The shop is on it's own meter so I had to come from the house.

I plugged in the box by the router and went outside and plugged in the other box and a wire to a router I bought. I pressed the WPS button on the new router and it connected to my music laptop in the shop fast and has a great wifi signal, as good as what is in the house. It worked, now I have a solid siginal out there even with the doors closed.

The circuit I used is about 250' long and has 3 outlets on it not counting the one I added on the end and on the other side of the breaker box.

About $90 total and solved a big problem.

Elden  ,   Both You  and your Partner have succeeded in making the Museum a Beautiful place even  if it took 14 hour trips , the building was quite in need of a refresh -

Well thank you, I am just a part of it all.

Everyone there knows I am not a painter, I get it mostly on me and everything around me and sometimes where we want it. But I am getting better at touching up, I have alot of practice. It is exactly why I go to the museum in what I call pre painted clothes, we worked that day and I never changed, that shirt only has a little paint on it, for now.

It did need a refresh but mostly just cosmetic, clean, repair and repaint or refinish. But it overall is in good shape considering it is 100 years old this year.

turn around an Old  house in it's former glory  into the Luxury house  that is deserving of PWK -

To us that is the goal, PWK deserves a nice museum, to create a product which is a luxury item in a small town and keep the company growing for over 75 years makes a great story and says alot about the man who did it all.

  13. Thank you all.

The whole thing was overwhelming, I am not used to attention like this, I was very nervous to say the least.

Travis and Craig did a great job as did Paula and Lauren Yocum and family, I was very suprised they came I had no idea but glad they did it was really nice to see them again. Being part of something tied to Scott and Paula Yocum make it that much better, very nice people. I first worked with Scott and really liked him but did not know the rest of the family untill he had passed on, a very nice family and glad I am lucky enough to get to know them all.

Earlier that day I told Craig I felt sick about this and he said get over it, it is going to happen. Being very nervous and standing in front of a bunch of people and having nice things said about me is not easy to do, even if I know them all and they are friends.

I really appreciate this, I had no idea and never expected it, just wanted to try to make a nice museum for PWK and for whoever visits.

There are many people who deserve this, I am just a small part, but really appreciate everyone even considering me in with all the people who also deserve this.

    Thank you.
